Jim Wyatt reports that former Titans WR Lavelle Hawkins has signed a two-year contract with the New England Patriots. Hawkins, 26, was cut loose by the Titans last week after they added another receiver during the draft in Justin Hunter. Hawkins finished the 2012 season with five catches for 62 yards receiving in seven total games. The Patriots already have a crowed receiving corp, so it would make sense that he would have to beat out guys like Donald Jones and Michael Jenkins for a roster spot in the coming months.
