We won!  34-3, we won!  Did not start off so pretty- back and forth, KC went up 3-0… and then the Patriots found their rhythm and turned it on.  From then on, KC couldn’t do much right.  Yes, Brady got sacked and lost a fumble (all in the first 20 minutes).  The rest of the game pretty much belonged to the Patriots.

The D did great to keep KC from getting points, while Tom & Co. racked them up.  The defense did allow yards, but yards don’t count at the end of the game.  Points do, and the Chiefs just couldn’t put them up on the board.  The 4 Patriots touchdowns were things of beauty- a pair by Rob Gronkowski (writing his name never gets old), a punt return by Julian Edelman and a Shane Vereen rushing TD (his first NFL score).

CB Kyle Arrington came up with a pair of INTs off of first-time starter Tyler Palko (Panko??).   Each of his picks ended with Gostkowski field goals.  Oh, and just so upcoming offenses know- Arrington’s 7 picks is the highest in the NFL now.

Ok, I have to say this- How amazing is Rob Gronkowski???  Week after week, he comes up big for the Patriots.  Him and Aaron Hernandez have gotten more throws then the WRs!  There was some concern after Gronkowski’s 2nd touchdown, having flipped in the air and landing on his head/neck.  He came up groggy, but still managed to spike the ball hard.  It’s what he does.  “It’s like he’s drilling for oil,” according to Bill Belichick in a post-game presser.  And according to some post-game press, Gronk threw out his own math problems at the trainers when they were checking him out for any concussion symptoms.  His return to the game is your answer.

Julian Edelman- all around football player.  Edelman was originally a QB, became a WR, went on specials teams doing returns and coverage, and now plays on defense.  Calling Troy Brown??

Wes Welker had a quiet night.  But his two catches continue his streak of having a catch in 88 consecutive games.
Oh, and for anyone interested, Rob Gronkowski has gotten to 20 TDs faster than any other TE.  Mike Ditka needed 31 games to get 20 TDs, Gronk needed only 26.

Next up for the Patriots: the Eagles.  Looking forward to that game!
