T.J. Houshmandzadeh is still looking for a team to sign him for the 2011 season. A team that is taking a look at Houshmandzadeh according to Jason La Canfora is the New England Patriots. The Patriots don’t need help at the receiver position since they traded for Chad Ochocinco, but if the Patriots did cut Ochocinco; I still think bringing in Houshmandzadeh would be a mistake.
Houshmandzadeh had his worst NFL season last year with the Ravens and has never been the same since he left the Bengals. If the Patriots did sign Houshmandzadeh; it would reunite Housh with Ochocinco who were teammates with the Bengals and at Oregon State.
The Patriots need to steer clear of signing the aging receiver who’s on the downside of his career. The Patriots would be better off going into the season with the receivers they have on the roster.
