New England Patriots third-year tight end Rob Gronkowski has missed the last five games after fracturing his left forearm blocking on special teams in the fourth quarter of a 59-24 blowout win in Week 11 over the Indianapolis Colts. Gronkowski is expected to play in “at least a limited role” on Sunday for Week 17′s battle against Miami Dolphins, Tom Curran of Comcast SportsNet New England reports. Though the Patriots have posted 34 points or more in three of their past five contests without him in the lineup, Gronkowski, 23, is their best player at any skill position besides QB Tom Brady and looks to supply an already dangerous offense a significant boost entering the 2013 NFL Playoffs.
