FOXBORO, Mass. — Aqib Talib has only been in New England for going on three weeks now, but he’s already feeling right at home. In his first action with the Patriots, Talib showed off the playmaking skills that made him an attractive asset at the trade deadline, returning an interception for a touchdown and sparking a 59-24 rout of the Colts in front of the home crowd. The reaction by the Patriots’ faithful inside Gillette Stadium that night made Talib go as far as to say he’d like to make New England his ‘home.’ But the fan’s praise and appreciation of his aggressive play hasn’t been the only thing making him feel comfortable in his new digs. Talib spoke highly of his teammates on Thursday, commending them on their commitment to helping him settle in through a rapid few weeks of getting acclimated to the system and his new surroundings. “The team helped me out a lot,” he said. “A lot of guys on the team did a good job, did a great job of just welcoming me in and helped me out a lot ...

TB12 Stands Tall In SI’s Football’s Greatest, But Maybe TOO Tall Patriots QB Tom Brady is enjoying a NFL MVP worthy season in 2012 thus far. In 11 games, he has a QB rating of 105.2 with 3,299 yards, 24 touchdowns and only THREE measly interceptions. If he continues at this pace, he is a shoe in for the league’s Most Valuable Player. Patriots offensive line finds success amid change

From the onset of training camp, the New England Patriots offensive line has been a work in progress, a mix of experience and youth that led to a handful of questions. There's still uncertainty surrounding who's playing which position each week, but there's little doubt remaining about the level of protection provided to the quarterback. Danny Amendola, Davone Bess Could Be Solid Options to Explore If Patriots Part Ways With Wes Welker (Video)

Wes Welker has had a successful run in a Patriots uniform, but it’s no guarantee that he’ll be back in New England next season. In fact, The Boston Globe’s Greg Bedard thinks this will be Welker’s final campaign in a Pats uniform. The team placed the franchise tag on the wide receiver prior to the season, and the two sides might not be able to work out a new deal after this...

David Whitley Cites ‘Two Adopted African-American Daughters’ as Proof He’s Not Racist

Bill Belichick and the Patriots created Spygate. The New Orleans Saints created Bountygate. This week, The Sporting News’ David Whitley created Tattoogate. As foolish as his column was on Colin Kaepernick‘s ink, Whitley certainly succeeded in gaining the attention he desired when he published his views of the 49ers quarterback breaking the mold of the clean-cut QB. “[The...

Dolphins tasked with slowing down Tom Brady

DAVIE, Fla. Its probably not a good idea to compare your rookie quarterback to Tom Brady the week your team plays New England. Perhaps thats why Miami center Mike Pouncey played it coy on Wednesday when asked to expound upon having last month compared Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill to the Patriots star. I said that? Pouncey said before laughing. You sure? That a rookie reminded...
