New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is at it again.
The Patriots coach is doing his usual pre-game ritual of praising his opponents through an extraordinary amount of praise. His target this time?
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
Belichick is famous fro talking up his opponent leading up to the team’s next game, only to then go out and rip them apart on the field. Belichick is great at telling everyone how talented the Patriots’ next opponent is to get the media to focus more on them, and then he leads New England on to what more often than not turns out to be a blowout.
With Arizona traveling to Gillette Stadium this Sunday, this should be no different.
But it is not stopping Belichick from hyping up Fitzgerald, who he says is one of the best the NFL has ever seen take the field.
“[Fitzgerald] does everything well. He’s a great receiver. He’ll go down as one of the all-time greats. He might end up as the best one ever, I don’t know,” Belichick said in a ...
BEST OF MAXIM
The New England Patriots rolled in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans, and as they return home for Week 2, they find themselves double-digit favorites against the Arizona Cardinals.
Bill Belichick and his coaching staff won't be taking the Cardinals lightly, of course, especially when charged with game-planning to attempt to slow Arizona wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

Bill Belichick is a pretty good assessor of talent. It seems as though each April analysts clamor over the New England Patriots draft. Oh and of course there is that guy named Tom Brady that Belichick helped to draft.
So when Belichick...
BelichickBill Belichick is not one prone to hyperbole. He rarely, if ever, compliments rookies. Not so after the week one victory by New England over the Tennessee Titans. He even went so far to say that first round picks Dont'a Hightower and Chandler Jones did a good job.Stop the world, I want to get off."I’d say that Dont’a has a lot of responsibility at his position...
Larry Fitzgerald, world traveler and star wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals, is adding another line to his resume.
Next Thursday, he will be the conductor for the performance of the national anthem on opening night for the Phoenix Symphony.
Fitzgerald tweeted on Thursday that he was going to be conducting the symphony and asked ''Anybody have any tips for me?'...
The Patriots rolled in Week 1 against the Titans, and as they return home for Week 2, they find themselves double-digit favorites against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals, despite winning their opener, aren't considered a threat to much of anything in the NFL this season, and they'll likely help the Pats pad their numbers -- and in the win column, most importantly. Bill...
Even when his larynx is producing sounds and his lips are moving to form those sounds into words and his left temporal lobe is stringing those words together to create whole sentences, Bill Belichick rarely actually says anything.
And that's why, on the rare occasions in which the cliché-dispensing New England Patriots head coach breaks from the status quo and offers something...
One of Bill Belichick’s favorite hobbies is praising his opponent during the week leading up to a game. Belichick never wants the Patriots to take the opposition too lightly, so he floods the enemy with compliments and fills the newspapers with flattering quotes about them. On Thursday, the subject of his praise was Larry Fitzgerald.
“He’s a great, great receiver, will go down...
TEMPE, Ariz. -- If the Cardinals are looking for a new marketing campaign, they might consider a spoof on the immensely popular Dos Equis campaign: The Most Interesting Man in the World.
They could cast wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald in the lead role and call it: The Most Interesting Man in the NFL.
You already know Fitz as one of the NFLs greatest receivers. You already know about...
There may not be a more boring interview than Bill Belichick. Boston reporters have tried for years to get a soundbite out of the New England Patriots head coach, but they have come up with zilch. Belichick hates having to speak with the media, and usually never sits down with interviewers from another city. But [...]

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will conduct the National Anthem on Sept. 20 for the Phoenix Symphony, according to FOXSports.com.
"I'm definitely going to go out there and give it my best shot," Fitzgerald said. "I've been watching YouTube videos of conductors late into the night to see what they actually do. I don't want to make a fool...
The Patriots won their ninth consecutive season opener. This is the longest active streak in the NFL. Bill Belichick is the highest paid coach in the NFL, making $7.5 Million per year. I am not sure he is getting paid nearly enough. If you breakdown the five highest paid coaches in the league the list [...]
Defense Stands Tall
In 2011 the New England Patriots defense was 15th in points allowed and 31st in total yards. Going into the offseason with free agent signings and the draft it was evident to Patriots media and fans that Bill Belichick’s offseason goal was to remake the defense.
Well if the Week 1 win in Tennessee is any indication of how the defense will play in 2012...
