Patriots WR Julian Edelman broke his foot Sunday and is likely to get both surgery and a trip to the IR, per Dan Roche. The Patriots went out and signed WR Donte Stallworth in preparation for Edelman’s absence, according to the Boston Herald. This will be Stallworth’s third stint with the team. The Patriots have dealt with some injuries this year, including the loss of both Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski, so look for the team to get creative on offense and fill the void left by the pass catcher’s injury.
