New England Patriots center Dan Koppen suffered a broken left ankle in Monday's win at Miami, WBZ-TV reported.
Koppen was carted off the field late in the second quarter of New England's 38-24 win after his left leg was pinned beneath a defender. He had his leg propped up by trainers as he left the field.
Koppen returned to the sidelines in the second half with a pair of crutches and later was seen wearing a walking boot. He was replaced by right guard Dan Connolly, with Brian Waters taking over at right guard.
