Tom Brady and the New England Patriots made it to the AFC championship game with a high-powered offense that piled up points and yards. Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens got there with a hard-hitting defense that made it a major challenge for opponents to move the ball. On Sunday, one of those teams will advance to the Super Bowl because, most likely, of what they do best. ''We've got our hands full this week,'' Lewis said. ''You watched what they did last week against Denver, just the way they came out and ran their offense, how efficient (Brady) was, how many different receivers he hit with the ball. I think their offense, period, is playing at a very high level.'' From start to finish, Brady picked apart the Denver defense in a 45-10 divisional playoff win. The Patriots (14-3) needed five plays to score on their first series on Brady's 7-yard pass to Wes Welker. It took them seven plays to reach the end zone on their second series on ...

Tom Brady Says He Sucked In Postgame Conference

I gave Ray Lewis praise for his post game conference comments, and in the same breath I have to give some to Tom Brady.  Tom had an unusually poor performance against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game on Sunday, to say the least.  Tom finished the game 22 for 36 passing, 2 interceptions and a 57.5 QB rating.  However, as good players are known to do, he told it...

Patriots survive to reach Super Bowl

Tom Brady has the New England Patriots back in the Super Bowl. The Patriots beat the stunned Ravens 23-20 in the AFC Championship Game Sunday after Baltimore's Billy Cundiff missed a 32-yard field goal attempt with 11 seconds remaining that would have tied the score. Brady scored the winning touchdown when he leaped over the vaunted Ravens defense in the fourth quarter. His...

Tom Brady didn’t sleep well Sunday night

Tom Brady had one of his more memorable post-game moments on the AFC title game podium last night. “Well, I sucked pretty bad today, but our defense saved us,” Brady said. “And I’m going to try to go out and do a better job in a couple weeks.” It was an interesting moment. Brady was…

LIVE: Ravens, Patriots vie for trip to Super Bowl

Tom Brady and the Patriots offense have been rolling. But can they keep it up against the Ravens' stingy defense with a ticket to Super Bowl XLVI on the line? Follow the AFC title game here.

Flacco leads Ravens to 10 points, lead in third quarter

Tom Brady drove the Patriots down the field for a field goal on New England’s first possession of the second half. Not to be outdone, Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco drove the Raves down the field. He didn’t match the field goal though. On a third down, Flacco hit Torrey Smith for a 29-yard touchdown. That gave the Ravens a 17-16 lead. Baltimore rookie LaQuan Williams forced...

Patriots Take 13-10 Halftime Lead Over Ravens

Plenty of people expected a close game between the Ravens and Patriots, but they didn't expect it to unfold the way the first half unfolded on Sunday afternoon. The Patriots lead 13-10 at the half because they are making things happen in the run game. BenJarvus Green-Ellis churned up 50 yards on eight carries and scored from seven yards out in the second quarter. Tom Brady,...
