Pats Chowder:
The Patriots continued their offseason plan of locking up their own this week by resigning Leigh Bodden and Kevin Faulk. In typical Patriots fashion, they evaluate and keep their own and avoid spending big on veterans in the free agent market. Bodden was a solid contributor for the Pats on defense this year. Although not a lock-down corner, Bodden did a good job lining up against opposing teams best receivers throughout 2009. With a very young secondary, it was really important to keep Bodden on the roster and the Pats now have him locked up for the next 4 seasons.
The Patriots also announced the signing of Kevin Faulk to a 1 year deal. Faulk is a great 3rd down back and locker room presence. I never expected Faulk to go elsewhere but it is good to have him officially back in the fold for 2010.
In other news, the Browns and Ben Watson came to terms on an agreement today. Once again, this is not surprising to me at all. The fact that the Patriots made very little attempt to ...
