Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson returned to practice Saturday, 10 days after suffering a scary seizure.
Patterson was in uniform and did conditioning drills with teammates. He did not practice.
On Aug. 2, Patterson collapsed at practice and went into convulsions that lasted four minutes. He was immobilized, placed on a stretcher and taken to a hospital.
He was released two days later after being diagnosed with brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a tangling of blood vessels in the skull that requires surgery or radiation. A report earlier this week said the condition is treatable and not career-threatening.
Patterson has the longest current term of service with the Eagles. He had 37 tackles and two sacks last season as a starter on the defensive line.
