It’s been a rough few days for New England Patriots WR Wes Welker. First, his team lost Super Bowl XLVI. Wes Welker and his fellow New England Patriots receivers were then called out in public by his quarterback’s wife. Then to cap off his week, a pawn shop dumped 900 pounds of butterfinger candy bars in Boston’s Copley Square, leaving a thank you note on top of the bars for him. The publicity stunt executed by Pawngo.com drew criticism from Patriots fans and a light hearted stunt went horribly wrong. Pawngo issues an apology on Wednesday to the Patriots wide receiver. Pawngo CEO Todd Hills issued a statement on Wednesday. From the Pawngo website- I Apologize.
