Minnesota Vikings' wide receiver Percy Harvin is coming off of his best season yet in the NFL and is looking to improve upon that in this season.

The former University of Miami Hurricane receiver is heading into his fourth season in the league and has established himself as one of the better play makers in the league.  This past season, Harvin recorded career highs in receptions with 87, yards with 967, and rushing yards with 345.  Harvin even recorded a kick return for a touchdown in a season where kick returns were down due to moving the kick off line up five yards.

Harvin is a crucial piece to the offensive puzzle in Minnesota.  He is a great target for quarterback Christian Ponder and especially so since Harvin is good on quick short routes and can also go on deep routes.  Because Harvin is so quick and elusive, he can turn a short, easy pass play into a play that could go for many yards.

There is no reason why Harvin can't come back and improve even more.  He is the only receiver on the Vikings' depth chart that really poses any threat towards opposing teams.  Seriously, when you're number two receiver in receptions last year was Michael Jenkins, you got some problems.  The Vikings did however go out and acquire Jerome Simpson from the Cincinnati Bengals.  If you don't know who he is, you have never watched Sports Center.  He was the receiver that did a flip over a defender to get into the end zone.

Regardless, Harvin will need to have a great year to help the Vikings offense and a little help if they want to do anything.  Harvin should be fine as long as his attitude stays positive and helps Ponder become a great quarterback.
