According to Jayson Jenks of the Seattle Times, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said RB Robert Turbin had been cleared by team doctors and will start practicing.
Turbin had he missed just over a week of camp with foot soreness that had troubled Turbin since the offseason program.
However, rookie Christine Michael has been a standout in Seahawks camp and Carroll uses the ‘best player’ approach more than any coach in the league.
The competition for the backup job is an open camp battle, and Michael has a big advantage on Turbin in terms of talent and practicing regularly.
"He’s done nothing but good stuff," Carroll said, via Adam Kaplan of ESPN.
"He's very quick, lightning quick, a really good worker, he finishes, he makes an impression to you all the time about how he’s willing to bust his tail to get down the field and finish runs, finish blocks and all that stuff. He’s fast, and he’s picking things up so he’s doing good."
