Pete Carroll is known for giving maligned players a chance to earn their keep. But even after signing troubled superstars Braylon Edwards and Terrell Owens this offseason, the Seahawks head coach seems opposed to any such union with recently released wideout Chad Johnson. Johnson, a six-time Pro Bowler, has been released twice in the past three months, most recently after being arrested on domestic violence charges this past weekend in Miami. Dolphins coach Joe Philbin explained that the arrest wasn't the sole reason for Johnson's release though, even saying that the pairing "wasn't a good fit." That vote of concern...

Braylon Edwards has finally found a true home in Seattle

Braylon Edwards has always been a talented receiver and as such he’s proven himself to be an enigma so far in the NFL. NEW SERIES: NFC West – 2012 Fantasy Football Preview

The 49ers look to be a team on the verge of greatness with hard-nosed Jim Harbaugh as head coach, and Pete Carroll seems to be slowly building a team that can threaten for the playoffs in Seattle. Both teams are built around tough opportunistic defenses with a strong running game. In St Louis , first year coach Jeff Fisher will also rely heavily on the ground game to keep Sam Bradford...

Matt Flynn to get 2nd straight start

Seattle Seahawks: Super Bowl Sleeper

Wow, check out that awesome alliteration in that title! Woo hoo, I'm pretty pumped about that. All right, now let's talk about some football. Eh, I know, not as exciting as talking about the alliteration in the title, but we have to get through it. As the regular season gets closer and closer, everybody is making their Super Bowl picks and it's pretty much the same old...

Seahawks QB Jackson won't play in second preseason game either

Carroll said Tuesday he will follow the same plan as in the first preseason game...

Final Public Practice – Observations

Notable Points Judging from this practice alone, Matt Flynn is the clear-cut favorite to start in week 1 of the regular season. Flynn, as advertised, showed crispness in his mechanics and his accuracy was top-notch, (only 3 incompletions during the entire practice). He often checked down short passes rather than airing it out deep, but did flash his arm on several occasions as...

Is it over for Chad Johnson??

So the Miami Dolphins decided to part ways with wide receiver Chad Johnson on Sunday in the wake of Johnson's arrest stemming from a domestic battery incident involving him and his wife on Saturday night. This was supposed to be the time when we would see a revival of a career that had fallen on hard times last season in New England. Johnson was probably going to be the Dolphins...

Report: Jets Have “Remote” Interest in Chad Johnson

There are two problems with Chad Johnson signing with a new NFL team The first one is because he was cut so early in Dolphins camp, we don’t really know what his skill set is right now. Was last season with the Patriots a fluke or has he just lost it? The second problem is that the team that brings him in, has to have a coach as flamboyant as he is. That eliminates a lot of the...
