Peter King of SI.com, confirmed in his weekly Monday Morning quarterback column that Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com’s report that Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross wants to draft Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill is in fact true.
Despite a report from the Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald that Ross isn’t pushing for Tannehill. There are now two people saying they’ve heard the opposite and that Ross wants Tannehill.
During an appearance on ProFootballTalk.com’s PFT Live, Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said that he doesn’t know where the report is coming from, that Ross is pressuring him to draft Tannehill.
“I don’t feel pressure from the owner. I don’t know where that’s coming from,” said Ireland per Evan Silva.
Ireland confirmed that Ross will likely be right next to him in the Dolphins draft war room.
“Oh, absolutely. He’ll be sitting right next to me, I’m sure, said Ireland, per Silva.
