EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Adrian Peterson's goal since Dec. 31 knee surgery has been returning for the Minnesota Vikings' first regular-season game on Sept. 9. A little more than a week away and Minnesota coach still isn't sure if the goal will be met.Following the preseason finale 28-24 loss at Houston on Thursday, Frazier called Peterson a "game-time decision" for the regular-season opener on Sept. 9 at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars."I think he'll probably be a game-time decision," Frazier said after Thursday's game. "We've got a lot of things we want to get done with him this week. I doubt that we would know without getting him through an entire week if we thought he were ready to play in a football game. We need to take him through some things this week."Peterson, who had surgery to repair two torn knee ligaments and returned to practice less than eight months later, was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Aug. 12 and returned to practice in team drills two days later. He started taking contact during practice this past week after being ruled out for the entire preseason a week ago.The goal for Peterson all along was being back for the opener and the Vikings' medical staff hasn't ruled out the possibility. The team needs to see more before letting Peterson suit up for the regular season.Frazier said offensive lineman DeMarcus Love aggravated his shoulderpectoral injury and would be re-evaluated. Rookie receiver Jarius Wright, who had six catches for 122 yards including a 59-yard touchdown catch, suffered a sprained ankle and didn't return. Wright wrote, "Thank everyone for the prayers. I'm fine. muchlove" on his Twitter page after the game.Frazier said backup linebacker Marvin Mitchell, perhaps the top backup at the position, also sprained an ankle on the first series of the game and didn't return. Frazier said he wasn't told it was the more severe high-sprain in Mitchell's case."The word high ankle never came from (head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman) or any of the medical staff, so that's good news," Frazier said of Mitchell and Wright.
