With just 55 yards Monday night, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is now No. 2 in the NFL with 412 rushing yards. He is behind Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans, who has run the ball 69 times for 434 yards (6.3-yard average). Peterson is averaging 4.9 yards, but he is tied for the NFL lead with five rushing touchdowns, and he is tied for first with 20 first downs. Other things to note through Week 4: * Percy Harvin is tied for eighth in the NFL with eight third-down catches, including one touchdown. He is also second in the NFL with a 31.5 kickoff return average. * Darius Reynaud is presently third in the NFL, with a punt return average of 17.3 yards. But his replacement Monday (Jaymar Johnson) would be second in the NFL, with a 21-yard average. But Johnson's two punt returns don't qualify him to be rated among the league leaders. * Jared Allen is third in the NFL, with 6.5 sacks.
