With five weeks remaining in the 2012 NFL regular season the Denver Broncos and their prize offseason acquisition, quarterback Peyton Manning, are exactly where they want to be; in first place in the AFC West standings with no team in their rearview mirror. The Broncos are 8-3 and the closest team two them is the San Diego Chargers at 4-7, a team Denver has already beaten twice this season.
It’s no surprise the Manning and the Broncos are in first place. The Broncos won a weak AFC West in 2011 with an 8-8 record and Tim Tebow as their quarterback.
