Peyton Manning, Broncos look secure early ticket to NFL playoffs

With five weeks remaining in the 2012 NFL regular season the Denver Broncos and their prize offseason acquisition, quarterback Peyton Manning, are exactly where they want to be; in first place in the AFC West standings with no team in their rearview mirror.  The Broncos are 8-3 and the closest team two them is the San Diego Chargers at 4-7, a team Denver has already beaten twice this season. It’s no surprise the Manning and the Broncos are in first place.  The Broncos won a weak AFC West in 2011 with an 8-8 record and Tim Tebow as their quarterback.  If there was ever any doubt that an ageing Peyton Manning would be an upgrade to the inspirational Tebow, consider the fact that Tebow can’t even get on the field long enough to be of any value in New York.  And that’s playing behind a struggling Mark Sanchez.… Read more
