Much to the delight of the folks over at R&S Mattress, Peyton Manning spent the night in the Arizona, where he’ll resume his free agent whirlwind tour.
Per Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Manning will continue meeting with the Cardinals’ brass on Sunday following a two-day pitstop in the Mile High City.
Manning flew in on Saturday night to meet with the Cardinals, who declined comment.
Somers notes that Peyton is “expected” to visit with the Dolphins in the days ahead, but that would obviously change if he doesn’t leave the desert without first signing a contract.
The team — like Manning — is said to want to resolve this quickly, as incumbent quarterback Kevin Kolb is due a $7 million bonus on March 17. Ideally, they’d like that money to go toward the future Hall of Famer instead.
They’ll have competition, however, as Broncos owner Pat Bowlen is reportedly willing to spend big to land Manning.
