PLAYERS: Peyton Manning
Peyton Manning was definitely in recovery mode for most of 2012 and is showed when he tried to go deep or outside the numbers.  He showed improvement throughout the season  and by the end of the year it was looking almost ‘Peyton-like’. “I think I’ve made some progress, definitely since last year at this time, and also since last season,” Manning said  With another year under is belt in the system with these receivers, Manning will be confident in his weapons.  Which is good news for D-Thomas, Decker, and Welker.   “When you know about the receivers you are throwing to and you’ve had more repetitions with each guy, that usually allows for more accuracy and more confident throws,” Manning said “When you know what you’re doing, you play faster,” Manning said. “Receivers run faster routes. Quarterbacks and running backs have a better idea of what they are doing, and you can go out there and play without having to think as much. Anytime you can take the thinking out of football, that’s a good thing, and I think that’s the same for me and for a lot of players in really the second year of this system.” Manning is a top 3 (for me) fantasy QB this season and although he’s getting older, he is still an outstanding fantasy QB with a ton of weapons at his disposal.    H/T The Denver Post Eli and Peyton Then and Now Julius Thomas Should Be On Your Radar

Colts QB hits Pam Oliver with errant warm-up pass

Andrew Luck is going to be an All-World quarterback any year now.  He’s Peyton Manning II.  He gets check-pluses in accuracy, arm strength, headiness, mobility, preparation.  Prior to Sunday night’s game against the Giants, Luck put his accuracy on display when he found ESPN sideline reporter Pam Oliver open along the sidelines…

Does Peyton Manning’s legacy depend on the 2013 NFL season?

Since being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 1998, I have been a huge Peyton Manning fan. Hell, I even named my dog after him. For 14 years, I donned my No. 18 jersey every Sunday from September to February, anxiously watching – in my opinion – the best quarterback ever to play the game attempt to lead my team to the promised land. With Manning now entering his second year...

Peyton Manning Did His Best To Recruit Randy Moss to Tennessee (Video)

Peyton Manning never truly had the success he wanted at the University of Tennessee. Manning finally won a SEC title as a senior, but eventually lost to Nebraska and Tom Osborne during the 1998 Orange Bowl. The question remains though, what would have happened had Manning been able to play with an elite wide receiver. Manning recently told Fox Sports that he tried to get one of the...

Randy Moss didn’t go to Tennessee because he didn’t think Peyton Manning could throw (Video)

Former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss told Jay Glazer on FOX Football Daily that he didn’t go to the University of Tennessee because he didn’t think Peyton Manning could throw. I’m sure Moss regrets that decision.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... ZergNet The post Randy Moss didn’t go to Tennessee because he didn’t think Peyton Manning could throw (Video) appeared...

Von Miller will serve 6-game suspension

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller will serve a six-game suspension under the NFL’s Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. Miller’s suspension, without pay, will begin Aug. 31, the day after the Broncos’ final preseason game.  He will be eligible to return for Denver’s seventh game on Oct. 20 at Indianapolis Colts. Miller released a statement: “The Substances of

A Look At The NFL’s Top Rushers

Pepsi Employs The Comedic Talent Of Andy Dalton

Andy Dalton is in a Pepsi commercial, you guys. Before this season of “Hard Knocks” started, I’m not even sure that I had ever heard Andy Dalton speak, and he’s been in the league two years already. So this will be an instructive experience in persona building. So the concept here is that he’s going door-to-door hawking Andy Dalton Fragrance to strangers. Whaaaa? So wacky...

Denver Broncos: 2013 Game-By-Game Predictions

The Denver Broncos season fell short last season when Jacoby Jones ran pass Rahim Moore to catch a long bomb from Joe Flacco with 0:31 seconds left in the game. Unfortunately for the Broncos they didn’t have enough time left on the clock to make a last second comeback in the Divisional Round of the 2013 playoffs. That play alone left a very dirty taste inside the Denver Broncos...

Indianapolis Colts season preview QB/ST/Overview/predictions

This is the final installment of our series previewing the Indianapolis Colts season. To see the other parts click on the links at the bottom here. It’s pretty hard to forecast the Coltss season a couple weeks before the year even kicks off. Schedule strength doesn’t matter as much in the NFL a it does in college football. The NFL has much more parity, and a much longer season...

PRE-Season: Stands for Pumped for a Ridiculously Entertaining-Season!

Last Saturday, the Seattle Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos 40-10 in their second preseason game.  Watching them makes this fan excited about regular season play!  There’s still much to improve on. For example, there were way too many penalties – six for 65 yards in the first half alone.  But for the Hawks first preseason game at home, it was filled with energy from the players...
