TEAMS: Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals
In their nine-year franchise history the Houston Texans have never participated in an NFL postseason. Whether it was the shortcomings of their teams or the fact that they play in a division that is headlined by Peyton Manning, for some reason or another the Texans continuously fell short. Since the Texans inauguration, Manning and the Indianapolis Colts have won seven consecutive AFC South Championships dating back to 2003. That all changed on Sunday afternoon. The Texans kept pace for a possible first round bye as they improved their AFC leading record to 10-3 on Sunday with a 20-19 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. T.J. Yates completed 27 of 44 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns as the Texans rallied late to get the win. With time running out in the fourth quarter Yates, a rookie, led the Texans on an 80 yard drive down the field knotting the game at 19 on a six yard touchdown pass by WR Kevin Walter. The extra point gave the Texans the lead with two seconds remaini...

Rookies Bar ‘Home Of The Texans’ Has DJ Yates On Signage
Bigger insult to TJ Yates: the Bengals comping his family tickets to yesterday’s conference clincher just a couple of rows from the top of the stadium or Rookies bar in Woodlands, Texas mistaking him for DJ Yates? Oh, and Rookies bills itself as the Home of the Texans. We’re going with the bar. The stupid family should have just moved down 45 rows or so. How the hell...
Coach: Peyton Manning throwing ball
Peyton Manning has started throwing the football again.
Colts coach Jim Caldwell said Wednesday that Manning is throwing the ball as part of his rehabilitation from neck surgery Sept. 8. Colts: Manning throwing but won't play
The Colts will have to win their last two games the same way they tried to win their first 14 -- without Peyton Manning.

Houston Texans Follow the Lucky Number 13
For the Houston Texans today was a day in which the number 13 was a lucky number. Colts may have 2 big-name QBs in '12
Colts fans could have the best of both worlds in 2012: Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck on the same roster.

Polian did not specifically...

Eli Manning Leads Giant Comeback, Not as Bad As You Think
He may have been a bit erratic in his ability to lead the New York Giants within an unsystematic division. In criticizing Eli Manning’s quarterback misery in a town where the media is critical with underperforming athletes, unafraid to boldly mock and taunt a player in a tabloid piece, he has silent his detractors by piloting the Giants to beat the Dallas Cowboys 37-34 Sunday night...
It Was A Good Weekend To Be A Tar Heel
Winning.
Let’s start with Friday where UNC introduced Larry Fedora as the new football coach. We will see how this ultimately turns out but after the past 18 months it was nice to see a well executed coaching search that resulted in a candidate most of the fan base can get behind.
Later that evening, UNC played UCLA in the National Semifinals of the College Cup....
