Philip B. Wilson is my favorite beat writer.  I love his style and he's often got his finger on the pulse of fans everywhere.

Today he's joined the ranks of Star writers who have leapt off the deep end.  He's dead wrong on this claim:

The most recent eyebrow raise has been about RB Delone Carter. The rookie has been one of the few bright spots, yet the Colts gave him just nine carries at Tennessee. RB Donald Brown practically finished that game out. Didn’t make sense to Carter, I’m sure. Didn’t get how Brown, a 2009 first-round pick who has never lived up to that selection, suddenly became the workhorse. Did the Colts forget Brown can’t block? Then after a second lost fumble in three games, Carter gets benched against Atlanta last week.

Yes, we remember Brown's infamous "Dammit Donald" moment and he's whiffed on a few this year.  Don't tell me Wilson would scream to yank Dallas Clark who has been horrific in pass protection this year.  More importantly, Delone Carter is coughing up the ball at a rate of nearly 33% higher than the NFL average.  Brown is averaging 0.6 more YPC, hasn't fumbled and IS SCORING.

Sorry folks, but Phil is just wrong on this one.
