TEAMS: Chicago Bears
As every mock NFL draft in the country become scrap paper in a matter of an hour,  we now start breaking down how teams did. Only once throughout the weekend did the Chicago Bears actually draft a player I had pegged them to target. At this point, I have come to the conclusion that no one has any clue what Bears GM Phil Emery is really thinking. And he is okay with that. No one saw Shea McClellan, Alshon Jeffrey, Kyle Long or Jordan Mills on a Bears draft board and Emery drafts most of these guys a round too early according to most pundits but I am pretty sure Emery does not really care what those pundits think.…

Did the Chicago Bears take one of the 10 biggest steals of the 2014 draft?

Tom Brady and Russell Wilson. Shannon Sharpe and Joe Montana. Will Shields and Terrell Davis. Some of the best players in NFL history weren’t first-round draft choices; instead, they were later-round guys who most teams thought were full of flaws. Oh, how plenty of franchises went on to regret those scouting reports. Multiple trips to the Pro Bowl, several Super Bowl rings and...

Mel Tucker discusses Bears defensive scheme, personnel

Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Mel Tucker says the team’s defensive scheme will look different this year. “There are some alignments that we’re going to use with our defensive linemen that are going to look different, and the technique those guys will play also will be different. Some of our run fits will be different as well,” Tucker said to the team’s official website...

1. The Bears expect a different story on defense in 2014 By picking a defender in each of the first four rounds of the NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears completed a rebuilding process that began the moment the Green Bay Packers knocked them out of the playoffs in the final seconds of the final regular season game of ’13. Bears’ Israel Idonije serves as creative force behind comic book series (pics)

Much like yours truly, Chicago Bears defensive lineman Israel Idonije split his time between playing football and being a comic book nerd. Granted, by the time Idonije, born in Nigeria and growing up in Canada, first started playing football in high school, my sports career was finished while he went on to attend the University […] The post Bears’ Israel Idonije serves as creative...

Do Not Vote For Alshon Jeffery!

Chicago Bears Football –  It recently come to our attention here at Sports Mockery that Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is up for being immortalized on the cover of the popular video game Madden NFL 15. Even though this may be a opportunity for the young receiver to make some money and gain popularity it may also be the worst career move he can make. Why would I say...

Former Chicago Bears tackle J’Marcus Webb tried out for Panthers

J’Marcus Webb is a good player and I would expect him to come in and start from day one if Carolina did sign him. According to Howard Balzer the Panthers worked out the former Bear.  Webb started 44 games for the Bears between 2010-2012 and struggled at left tackle before Chicago signed Jermon Bushrod to replace him […] The post Former Chicago Bears tackle J’Marcus Webb...

Bears 2nd round pick Ego Ferguson: Chicago fans to become egomaniacs?

Ego Ferguson the Younger has lived his life with the same first name as Ego Ferguson the Elder. (according to my friend Mike Ragz of 95.7 The Fan’s Ragz and the Bartender) I guess if Ferguson’s Dad had to endure all the Freudian puns, then so will his son. Does Ego Ferguson has siblings named Id and Superego?…….. …….I’ll show myself out. Okay, now we’ll get to talking...
