Norv Turner won’t say who the Chargers’ starting running back is
San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner won’t say who his starting running back will be this week. Last week Jackie Battle got the majority of the carries in their win over the Chiefs
“The starter, we’ll find out on the first play of the game,” Turner said, per the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Battle doesn’t believe Ryan Mathews has lost his starting spot.
“I wouldn...
Juan Eye On Philip Rivers
If I fail this week, this kid might be on the Waiver Wire Juan…
I think I am at the point that if Rivers can’t go off this week against the Saints, then he is dead to me. They have allowed nearly 20 points a game to opposing QBs and that includes a 5 points disaster from Matt Cassel.
Maybe it’s his weapons, lack of consistency at RB, or a defense that is much better, but...

Chargers Not Sure Who They’ll Start At RB In Week 5 -
Chargers coach Norv Turner was noncommittal Friday when asked who he’ll start at running back in Week 5 against the Saints. “The starter, we’ll find out on the first play of the game,” Turner said. If the Chargers had truly had a permanent depth-chart change, it stands to reason Turner wouldn’t have been so evasive...
Fantasy football: Week 5 pick ups for the deeper leagues
Looking for a player on the waiver wire to help you win your fantasy football league or even help you get through bye weeks, is a tough task. Not all can maneuver and get the guys they need when they need them. The good news is; these will be the people you can beat while they have major players on a bye. The bad news is; these are the same people who pick up any player they think...
Chargers Coach Norv Turner Won't Say Who Will Start At RB Vs Saints
Norv Turner wasnt saying who will start at running back Sunday night in New Orleans.
The starter, well find out on the first play of the game, Turner said Friday after the teams final practice this week.

A very favorable match-up this week Rivers is a solid play.Ryan Mathews is listed as the No. 2 running back on the depth chart and is expected to split carries with Jackie Battle after having fumbling issues since his return from...
Jags sign Spurlock among several moves
Wide receiver/return specialist Micheal Spurlock signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars after being released by the San Diego Chargers earlier this week. Rookie defensive end Ryan Davis was also promoted from the practice squad, with offensive lineman Daniel Baldridge and third-year defensive end Aaron Morgan being waived. The Chargers were forced to drop Spurlock to address injuries...
TE Graham says Gates' success paved way for him
Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham wonders if he would even be in the NFL if not for the success Drew Brees had with Antonio Gates in San Diego more than a half decade ago.
Graham, who played only one season of college football at Miami after four years of basketball, says he knows Gates paved the way for him.
Brees says Gates was ''an experiment'' when he joined the...
San Diego Chargers (3-1) at New Orleans Saints (0-4)
San Diego Chargers (3-1) at New Orleans Saints (0-4)
Last year, the Chargers started 4-1. It was a shock to many people before they’re normally horrible early in the season, especially compared to later in the season. Prior to last year, The Chargers were 14-12 from weeks 1-4 under Philip Rivers and 41-11 (41-11!!!) from weeks 6-17. However, their 4-1 record was explainable because...
Chargers know Saints better than record indicates
If you are what your record reveals, the Chargers (3-1) are pretty good and the Saints (0-4) stink. But these teams facing off in the Superdome Sunday night know better than that. The first-place Chargers realize they'll get the Saints' best shot, one that comes with equal parts frustration and redemption. Saints quarterback Drew Brees hasn't won yet and there are...
Fantasy Football Week 4 Start Em’, Sit Em’
Start Em’ QB - Philip Rivers SD, Drew Brees NO, Alex Smith SF, and Joe Flacco BAL
Philip Rivers and Drew Brees should have a good old fashion shootout this week, both providing solid weeks. When Buffalo has faced a competent quarterback, their defense has given up at least three passing touchdowns so I would feel very confident inserting Alex Smith into my starting lineup...
