Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) at Arizona Cardinals (2-0) Believe it or not, this is a matchup of 2-0 teams. Philadelphia being 2-0 isn’t that farfetched, but anyone who told you that they had Arizona starting 2-0, with a week 2 clash in New England on the schedule, is either lying or the biggest Arizona homer in the world or didn’t look at the schedule or some mix of all three. No one saw that coming and it killed about half of the survivor pools out there including mine. Side note, I almost wrote at the end of the New England/Arizona write up that I was so confident New England would keep your survivor pools alive that if Arizona won, I would shave my pubes, glue them to my face, and run naked through the streets of Boston, but I didn’t want to sound ridiculous (phew). However, I’m still not sold on Arizona. They’ve got a great defense, but I don’t trust either of these quarterbacks (it’ll be Kevin Kolb again in this one) and neither of their running backs has been able to get anything...

Offseason upgrades on defense paying off for the Philadelphia Eagles

Image via Eagles Addict It defies logic—the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles have been able to overcome nine turnovers in two games to secure wins and and move to 2-0 record to start the 2012 season.  Pulling off this rare feat has been dificult—a single point secured the victory in both games, the first time this has happened in successive contests in NFL history. But as we...

Arizona Cardinals: Week 3 NFL Power Rankings (#23)

Last week: 23 (+7) Record: 2-0 The Cardinals are one of only 6 undefeated teams left in the NFL, but they’re by far the weakest of the bunch. They’ve been outgained in each of their first 2 games, but won anyway, and have a negative yards per play differential and are tied with Jacksonville for the worst yards per play rate at 4.2. They’ve got a nice defense, but I still don’t...

Eagles Defense Has One Task in Week 3: Stop Larry Fitzgerald

Jed Jacobsohn/Getty Images Attention Juan Castillo: Whatever you do this week, make sure Larry Fitzgerald's whereabouts are accounted for on every single snap he's on the field.  And make sure you relay this to Nnamdi, DRC, Nate Allen and Kurt Coleman as well. In case you didn't realize, Larry Fitzgerald absolutely loves playing the Eagles.  We all know he's one...

Eagles giving Kevin Kolb and the Cardinals a big opportunity

Playing a former team always gives players an extra bit of motivation in the week leading up to gameday. Playing a former team that also bailed on you as a player gives you even more of a kick in the rear. This weekend, the Arizona Cardinals are matched up against the Philadelphia Eagles, Kevin Kolb's former team. Life hasn't exactly been easy for Kolb since being...

Andy Reid, Jeff Fisher Mustache Feats Bring Memories of Greatest Mustaches in Sports History (Photos)

The NFL has had its share of famous mustaches over time. Mike Ditka, Joe Namath and Walter Payton all made the mustache part of their iconic look. Now whiskers are again gaining buzz around the league. Head coaches Andy Reid and Jeff Fisher have both seen their mustaches get attention this season. Fisher, head coach for the St. Louis Rams, has been nominated for the Robert Goulet...

Larry Fitzgerald seemed excited about HBO's Boardwalk Empire premiere

After beating the New England Patriots in week two upset, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald decided to send out the below Tweet to his Twitter followers: To be fair, I was excited about Boardwalk Empire as well....

2-0? Yes, 2-0. On to Arizona.

We are witnessing the first 2-0 start since 2004, two outstanding defensive displays, and the ablility to win games late. Except for turnovers and penalties, our Philadelphia Eagles gave us reasons for optimism against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. We saw big time use of the tight end Brent Celek, a balanced run and passing attack, sharp passing by Michael Vick, and solid...
