Philadelphia Eagles (3-9) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6) All of the trends say the Eagles are in a good spot this week and should cover. Road dogs off a road loss are 85-48 ATS since 2008 and the Eagles are dogs here in Tampa Bay after losing in Dallas last week. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are in what’s known as the sandwich game, meaning they are favorites after losing as dogs and before being dogs again. They lost in Denver last week as dogs and will go to New Orleans next week. Teams tend to take the sandwich game lightly, as a breather, going 59-84 ATS in this spot since 2008. Meanwhile for the Eagles, teams that lose 5+ straight are 60-35 ATS since 2002 off a loss by 8 or fewer. For whatever reason, teams on long losing streaks tend to cover after almost breaking through and winning a game. Andy Reid also does well as road dogs in his career, going 38-21 ATS in this situation, including 10-3 ATS as dogs of a touchdown or more. This includes a cover in Dallas last week. That being...

Philadelphia Eagles injury update: Patterson hospitalized, Menkin to IR

DT Mike Patterson will be out for Sunday’s Philadelphia Eagles game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as he was hospitalized on Thursday. Team officials believe that Patterson has viral pneumonia. They do not think that this is related to his brain surgery earlier this year, which caused him to miss the first seven games of the season. Per Comcast Sportsnet, although head trainer...

Michael Vick Could Land in Buffalo Next Season

Yahoo's Jason Cole believes quarterback Michael Vick could end up playing for the Bills next season.Fantasy Spin:Now that the Eagles have decided to go with Nick Foles at quarterback, it seems inevitable that Vick will be cut after the season. Vick was pretty erratic this season (nine interceptions and 10 fumbles in his nine games) but that shouldn't keep him from finding...

Little kid unintentionally mocks Philadelphia Eagles during news report (Video)

As part of the NFL's "Play 60" campaign, some members of the Philadelphia Eagles made an appearance at a local elementary school back on Tuesday. The local ABC affiliate did a news story on the players visiting the school and during the report, a 4th grader by the name of Sam Smith was asked a question about the team. That's when Sam dropped this gem, when...

Livefyre In-Game report---Eagles vs. Bucs at Tampa...

One of the keys of the game I'll be watching is whether or not the Eagles will take the guvna' off Nick Foles' throwing arm. Tampa Bay's secondary is not known this year for very good coverage. So when "Shaggy" starts out in that run-base personnel package, and the Bucs start lining up 8 or 9 guys in the box, will he get the green light to audible...

Eliminate the Suicide Week 14: Guided by Eagles, Bucs Find Treasure on 100 Yard Island

Now that’s more like it.  Even though I got burnt by Charlie Batch last week, it was nice to see some upsets peer through the scoreboard in week 13.  I guess it wasn’t nice to see if you had selected San Francisco, Baltimore, Chicago or Carolina.  In the first two of those games, the team projected to win lost to an intense division rival.  I fell for the trap last week as...
