Absent in this year’s draft was the viewpoint that the draft is a time to acquire projects. Instead, there was recognition that it’s wiser to pick players with skills that match the setup of your team. Players whose measurables are good is one part of the

The Philadelphia Eagles’ 2012 draft class has a chance to ultimately become the best ever during the Andy Reid era. Simply put, the Eagles did an outstanding job orchestrating this draft.
Howie Roseman and Andy Reid seemed to finally be on the same page with fans, bloggers and beat writers when it came to selecting players in the draft, particularly in...
With the 88th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected Nick Foles, quarterback out of Arizona. For some this came as a surprise. Why would the Eagles take a QB in the third round? They already have Michael Vick and a capable backup in Mike Kafka? Was Foles taken as future trade bait or
The Philadelphia Eagles’ 2012 offseason has been tremendous so far. Between how they handled free agency and the NFL draft, this could turn out to be the most productive offseason since 2004 when they finally added key components (Terrell Owens and Jevon Kearse) to get the team over the NFC Championship game hump.
To paraphrase the Beach Boys here: I’m picking up good vibrations...
One of the first things I do upon learning of each draft pick by the Eagles is to find them on Twitter and add them to my “Eagles Team” list. Loving both football and Twitter comes in quite handy sometimes.
The social media component may not be the first thought for everyone, so for those who are catching up, I’m going to make it very easy for you. Below is a list of the Twitter...
In an interview with the Philadelphia media, Eagles head coach Andy Reid was asked about the state of their running backs and interestingly enough he admitted they overplayed LeSean McCoy.
“We’ll see how it goes. We’re good with young guys and we’ll see how that works out. With Dion (Lewis), I would have liked to have gotten him a little more time last year as we went on...
The Philadelphia Eagles selected quarterback Nick Foles in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Now Vince Young seems less likely to re-sign as a free agent. Foles has a strong arm and throws an accurate deep ball, but needs work on his pocket presence and toughness. He projects as a quality backup in the NFL, and definitely in Philly while Michael Vick is upright.
The Philadelphia Eagles are having an outstanding 2012 NFL draft. On Day 1, they made a great move by jumping up three slots to snatch DT Fletcher Cox. On Day 2, the Eagles followed up with two good picks and a nice trade.
Notice I said two good picks? But, didn’t they take three players? Yes, they took three players, I’m just not thrilled with the Eagles’ third-round...
Free agent Vince Young is looking for a job after not being re-signed by the Philadelphia Eagles after spending the 2011 season with the team. As far as Young is concerned, it’s because Andy Reid feels he’s too talented to be just a backup.
Bless his heart.
Young has received his first call from a potential suitor via the Buffalo Bills, who Young will work out for on Wednesday...
There has been a ton of talk about how well teams did in this years draft. I've decided to grade two teams, one AFC and one NFC. The AFC team will be covered next article. The NFC team I decided upon was none other than the Philadelphia Eagles.
Eagles selected Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi St, 12th overall (from Seahawks)
This was one of the best picks of the first round...
It was a busy week for the Philadelphia Eagles, to say the very least. After selecting 9 players via the NFL draft, which concluded on Saturday, the team assessed the field of undrafted talented and added 13 additional players to its roster on Sunday. The additions include a punter, long snapper, a tight end, a corner, a safety, two full backs, one running back, and five wideouts...
The NFL career of former Eagles/Broncos safety Brian Dawkins came to an end nearly a week ago.
Since hanging up his cleats and emotive screams, Dawkins has been busy. He retired as an Eagle on Saturday and held his farewell press conference with many ex-teammates in attendance including Donovan McNabb.
Hours later, Dawkins threw out the first pitch prior to a Phillies 5-2 win over...
