Today the Philadelphia Eagles released safety Jaiquawn Jarrett after just a year wearing midnight green. The move was largely due to the recent injury of Jeremy Maclin which forced the Eagles to bring in another receiver, which turned out to be training camp star Mardy Gilyard. The move though not only shows confidence in Gilyard and doubt in Jarrett, but it shows that the Eagles now have full confidence in the ex-Ohio State star after his game winning interception last week.It took Kurt Coleman three years to establish himself as the number one strong safety on the team, but it has finally happened.Nate Allen was also selected in the 2010 draft, and saw starting time immediately. Why was Kurt Coleman over shadowed? He was a 7th round pick. He showed glimpses of an NFL caliber player in the preseason, when he returned two fumbles for touchdowns against the Jets, which happened to be featured on HBO's Hard Knocks. Come the regular season Coleman didn't see much playing time, a...
