Found August 16, 2012 on Football Nation:
Early Wednesday morning it was reported by Pete Carroll that Seattle quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was unhappy with his status on the team. Not that he is unhappy with the shuffling at quarterback, rather that the Seahawks are trying to shop him around. I heard about the news and shook it off. Then a few hours later I saw a tweet from @bleedinggreennation with a link that took me to an article entitled "Eagles Interested in Tarvaris Jackson?" Cody Benjamin from Bleeds Green apparently heard from a source that Eagles "are among teams in talks with the Seahawks in regards to Tarvaris Jackson".   Something I should've expected of the birds, and i do not agree with it. Then again, my name isn't Andy Reid or Jeffrey Lurie so my opinions don't matter. Oh well, life goes on and so does this article. Here are three short reasons why i think Tarvaris Jackson should never wear midnight green. I will also post an article article with reasons why it might not...

Seattle Seahawks Will Trade Tarvaris Jackson, But Will Any Team Want Him?

The Seattle Seahawks are likely looking to trade quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, as Matt Flynn is cementing himself as the team’s starter, and while Russell Wilson appears more than capable of handling the back up role. So while the Seahawks are more than willing to move Jackson before the next week or so, the question remains, what team would actually want Jackson at this point...

Seahawks QB Jackson won't play in second preseason game either

Tarvaris Jackson, who was Seattle's starting quarterback last season, will not play in the Seahawks' second preseason game on Saturday against Denver, but coach Pete Carroll told reporters on Tuesday that Jackson is still in the competition to be the Seahawks' regular-season starter. Carroll said Tuesday he will follow the same plan as in the first preseason game...

Report: Seahawks talking to two teams about trading Tarvaris Jackson

AP Photo According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, the Seattle Seahawks are currently talking to two teams about trading quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. “A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that the Seahawks are talking to a couple of teams about trading Jackson, and that a deal could happen.  But the Seahawks prefer to wait for one or more teams to suffer...

Final Public Practice – Observations

Notable Points Judging from this practice alone, Matt Flynn is the clear-cut favorite to start in week 1 of the regular season. Flynn, as advertised, showed crispness in his mechanics and his accuracy was top-notch, (only 3 incompletions during the entire practice). He often checked down short passes rather than airing it out deep, but did flash his arm on several occasions as...

Pete Carroll Willing to Take Chance on Braylon Edwards, Terrell Owens But Not Chad Johnson

Pete Carroll is known for giving maligned players a chance to earn their keep. But even after signing troubled superstars Braylon Edwards and Terrell Owens this offseason, the Seahawks head coach seems opposed to any such union with recently released wideout Chad Johnson. Johnson, a six-time Pro Bowler, has been released twice in the past three months, most recently after being arrested...

Matt Flynn to start for Seahawks vs. Broncos

Per the Seahawks.com website today we've learned that Pete Carroll said in a post practice press conference that Matt Flynn will start at QB this week vs. the Denver Broncos in Week 2 NFLX action. That was the word from coach Pete Carroll after today’s practice, although incumbent starter Tarvaris Jackson worked as the No. 1 QB in practice and Carroll admitted he thought about...

NEW SERIES: NFC West – 2012 Fantasy Football Preview

The 49ers look to be a team on the verge of greatness with hard-nosed Jim Harbaugh as head coach, and Pete Carroll seems to be slowly building a team that can threaten for the playoffs in Seattle. Both teams are built around tough opportunistic defenses with a strong running game. In St Louis , first year coach Jeff Fisher will also rely heavily on the ground game to keep Sam Bradford...

Matt Flynn to get 2nd straight start

Even though Pete Carroll insists the competition is ongoing, it is clear Matt Flynn is the leading contender to be the Seattle Seahawks' starting quarterback when the season begins. Flynn will get his second straight preseason start for the Seahawks on Saturday night when Seattle travels to Denver, with rookie Russell Wilson expected to play the second half in a similar format...
