Found May 09, 2012 on Philly Sports Nut:

Today, the Eagles have agreed to terms with three of the rookies taken in the NFL draft. The three rookies signed where defensive end from the University of Marshall (Who I think is going to be a total beast) 2nd round pick Vinny Curry, 5th round pick from the Purdue, offensive tackle Dennis Kelly, and wide receiver from Iowa 6th round pick Marvin McNutt.

With Vinny Curry being picked up in the 2nd round, his chances at making the team are extremely high. Most of the scouting experts have predicted this man, to be one of the top pass rushers in all of college football with him being ranked number 4. Jim Washburn is always looking to find some young talent that doesn’t mind getting after the ball carrier, and doesn’t mind knocking the crap out of someone on a daily basis.

Now, all of these rookies have been signed to four year deals, making them at least being on the practice squad, or being cut if not good enough, or if something drastic where to happen for the next four years.

Dennis Kelly on the other hand, taken with the 5th pick from Purdue, fans don’t know that much about him. He wasn’t that much of a stand out in college, so the odds are against him. Now, he’s a big man, just one inch shorter than 4th year tackle Kind Dunlap, and the coaches nor players on the team know who this guy is. He has raw talent, but him making the team remains a long shot.

With these players each agreeing to four year deals, they will most likely be part of the team up until the year 2016.

Marvin McNutt, wide receiver from Iowa will be a beast (In my opinion)  and will most likely be used in redzone situations. The man has incredible hands,  he’s 6’3 216 lbs so he will most likely be the 5th or even 6th receiver if the Eagles do choose to keep that many.

Also, with these players being signed, there should be lots of room to re-sign running back LeSean McCoy, since the Eagles traded away 4x pro bowler Asante Samuel.

Alright rookies, hit those mini-camps and make us Eagles fans proud.

Two Philadelphia Eagles Debut on NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2012

The Philadelphia Eagles had two members of its team appear in the NFL Network’s countdown of the top 100 players of 2012 this week. That’s good, right? The not-so-good part is that the players were ranked far lower this year than last. But given the Eagles 8-8 season in 2011, that is hardly a surprise. CB Nnamdi Asomugha, the free agent prize of the 2011 offseason, saw his standing...

Eagles endorse young safeties Allen, Jarrett

Many observers felt the Eagles' two biggest needs going into the draft were outside linebacker and safety. They addressed the first one early on in the draft, selecting speedy Mychael Kendricks of Cal, a three-down linebacker who will move to the head of the depth-chart line at SAM. But they didn't take a safety with any of their nine picks. They did sign one after the...

The Philadelphia Eagles Final 53-man Roster Prediction

Now that the NFL Draft is over and teams are even starting to open up training camp, it’s the time of year for roster predications. Alex Henery Sets Rookie Record for Field Goal Percentage

Last year, the Eagles invested a 4th round pick, in drafting now 2nd year kicker Alex Henery. Henery was one of the most underrated players on the 2011 Eagles sqaud from a year ago, having to come in and replace hall fame 6x pro bowl kicker Davis Akers. Being a kicker is hard enough in the NFL, but having to come in and replace a future hall of famer certainly adds a lot of...

Former Eagles WR Terrell Owens Pathetic on Dr. Phil

So, I watched T.O.’s appearance on Dr. Phil on Tuesday. And it was just sad. It was sad seeing a man with little maturity and no sense of responsibility in the midst of ruining the lives four innocent children. Four children by four different women. You have to ask questions about the decision-making abilities of all involved, especially baby mamas 3 and 4, but in the end, it’s...
