Found September 19, 2012 on The Football Fan Spot:
Last week: 10 (+6) Record: 2-0 The Eagles have 9 turnovers in 2 games, but they’re 2-0. How does that happen? Well, when you lead the league in points per play differential with a differential of 1.5, all of a sudden, you can overcome those turnovers. Historically, that differential is more likely to continue that their turnover differential, which is -3. If that continues, the Eagles should prove themselves as one of the most talented rosters in the NFL, as I said they were at the beginning of the season, and compete for a first round bye in a loaded NFC. Studs QB Michael Vick: 23 of 32 for 371 yards, 1 touchdown, 2 interceptions, 2 hit as thrown, 1 batted pass, 2 drops, 103.8 adjusted QB rating, pressures on 16 of 39 drop backs (1 scramble, 2 sacks, 7 of 13, 2 hit as throwns, 1 interception), rushed for 34 yards (6 after contact) and a touchdown on 6 carries WR DeSean Jackson: Caught 7 passes for 114 yards on 8 attempts on 38 pass plays, 1.9 YAC per catch FS Nate Allen: Allowed 6 ...

Offseason upgrades on defense paying off for the Philadelphia Eagles

Image via Eagles Addict It defies logic—the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles have been able to overcome nine turnovers in two games to secure wins and and move to 2-0 record to start the 2012 season.  Pulling off this rare feat has been dificult—a single point secured the victory in both games, the first time this has happened in successive contests in NFL history. But as we...

Eagles vs. Cardinals Week 3 Preview By SBRForum.com Both the Eagles and Cardinals are feeling good about themselves after posting impressive victories last weekend. Can Philadelphia keep momentum high with a win over Arizona in Week 3? So that’s now two Eagles wins to start the season, albeit two wins that were both decided by a solitary point. A week after escaping with a 17-16...

Eagles getting Nick Foles ready to step in?

According to ProFootballWeekly.com, the Philadelphia are preparing rookie quarterback Nick Foles to step in, if Michael Vick struggles or gets injured. “Is Andy Reid secretly getting rookie QB Nick Foles ready in case Michael Vick crumbles? League spies say that alarm bells sounded loudly when Reid (for the first time in 14 years in Philly) abruptly made practice off limits to...

Report: Eagles C Kelce done for seaso

Eagles center Jason Kelce is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury suffered Sunday, according to CSNPhilly.com's Derrick Gunn. Kelce, who has started all 18 games of his career, was injured in the third quarter against Baltimore. Dallas Reynolds entered the game for his first career regular-season action and is the likely replacement in the starting...

Replacement Ref to LeSean McCoy: “I need you on my fantasy team.”

Are these replacement referees or just hardcore fans that love to dress up like zebras and run up and down the field? Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean MCCoy told 94WIP Philadelphia’s Anthony Garganao and Ike Reese how much like fans these refs really are: “During the game, they made like a bad call or something, the ref, and I see Ray Lewis like pump his chest up, trying...

Chad Johnson Eagles Rumors Could Be True

Could the rumor be true? With receiver Jeremy Maclin fighting an injury, it only makes sense for the Eagles to bring in a new addition to the wide receiver spot. Chad Johnson might have some trouble past, but the Eagles will serve as his rehabilitation center. The Eagles coaching staff has had alot of experience with discarted players trying to re build their image. he would have...

Andy Reid, Jeff Fisher Mustache Feats Bring Memories of Greatest Mustaches in Sports History (Photos)

The NFL has had its share of famous mustaches over time. Mike Ditka, Joe Namath and Walter Payton all made the mustache part of their iconic look. Now whiskers are again gaining buzz around the league. Head coaches Andy Reid and Jeff Fisher have both seen their mustaches get attention this season. Fisher, head coach for the St. Louis Rams, has been nominated for the Robert Goulet...

If Eagles can limit mistakes, 2012 should be a lot of fun

It may not be how you would have drawn up a 2-0 start for the Philadelphia Eagles, but it counts just the same. After their second one point win in two games, the only team to do so in NFL history, the Eagles sit atop the NFC East. The truth is, they have yet to play a good game. With 4 more turnovers against a good Baltimore Ravens team, you would think the Eagles would be licking...

Eagles suddenly very thin on OL...but subs did a nice job in final drive for win over Ravens...

It figures---the rare Sunday you only dress 7 offensive linemen for a game, and two of 'em get knocked out of the game. In fact, missing from Vick's final-drive huddle were Center Jason Kelce, left tackle King Dunlap and wide receiver Jeremy Maclin who had all left the game with injuries. They were replaced by a former practice squad member (Dallas Reynolds), a player...

Philadelphia Eagles at Arizona Cardinals: Week 3 NFL Pick

Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) at Arizona Cardinals (2-0) Believe it or not, this is a matchup of 2-0 teams. Philadelphia being 2-0 isn’t that farfetched, but anyone who told you that they had Arizona starting 2-0, with a week 2 clash in New England on the schedule, is either lying or the biggest Arizona homer in the world or didn’t look at the schedule or some mix of all three. No...

Eagles Defense Has One Task in Week 3: Stop Larry Fitzgerald
