When considering the potential options that await Jackson this offseason, the amount of scenarios or “what if’s” that could play out seem endless. By now we are all aware of Jackson’s 11-day holdout from training camp in hopes to back the Eagles front office in to a corner and get the deal he’s been waiting for. We also know that instead of taking the lonely road for the length of the trip, Jackson made the decision to join his teammates at Lehigh Valley and vowed not to let his contract become an on-the-field distraction. And to DeSean’s credit, through all the mishaps he faced during the 2011 season, he actually fared well looking at his stats with the excep...

Should the Philadelphia Eagles Cut Defensive Tackle Cullen Jenkins?

One of the big free agent signings by the Philadelphia Eagles before the 2011 season was defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins, who was stolen away from the world champion Green Bay Packers. Jenkins turned in a pretty impressive season for the Eagles, starting all 16 games and collecting 5.5 sacks and 33 tackles. Steve Smith's magical year with the Eagles

When the NY Giants decided not to re-sign receiver Steve Smith, the hate that flowed towards the Giants came in torrents. Giants fans just couldn't believe they weren't re-signing a receiver coming off a major knee injury. At he time, I completely understood the Giants position on Smith. Turns out, it was the correct call."Hey Eli, can I get a ticket to the Super Bowl...

Will Andy Reid Watch The Super Bowl?

I pose the question because I really do not know if Big Red will watch the biggest game of the year.  We know that Reid has a certain football philosophy.  Let’s face it, Eagles fans know that Andy Reid is one stubborn S.O.B.  Will it be too much for Andy to take watching two coaches that typically understand the natural flow of a football game? The New England Patriots...

Dorsett joins concussion suit, reels from concussion

The helmet-to-helmet shot knocked Tony Dorsett out cold in the second quarter of a 1984 Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles game, the hardest hit he took in his Hall of Fame NFL career. "It was like a freight train hitting a Volkswagen," Dorsett says now. "Did they know it was a concussion?" he asks rhetorically in an interview with The Associated Press. "...
