Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins was roaming the sidelines all day in the Redskins preseason game versus Buffalo Saturday afternoon. Before the game he had his picture taken with possibly an unknowing fan during pregame.
Seeing this shirt yesterday made me laugh! ‘Skins fans have been great to me from the day I was picked, thank you! pic.twitter.com/WXJIsJED3u

Many teams, including the Redskins, have always loved the back up quarterback. At least in this case there is reason to considering Kirk Cousins played a vital role in last year’s playoff run and could start week 1 if Robert Griffin III is not cleared to play. While Cousins infatuation has a different feel than the one fans have with a Pat White, a Colt Brennan or a Todd Collins, at least he feels loved by the fans for all the right reasons.

In the NFL, the third game of the preseason is typically the dress rehearsal for the regular season. For the Redskins it will be a little different. Today against Buffalo Rex Grossman will lead the first team offense for likely a half and former West Virginia stand out Pat White will take over when Grossman exits. Grossman came into training camp as the number three quarterback,...

Former Raiders executive Amy Trask wrote an article for Peter King’s MMQB. In her article she touched on her belief that the Redskins should change their names. ProFootballTalk.com asked her to elaborate. In part she says My belief is premised on the following: we should not consider skin color when interacting with any person or group of people; it is unacceptable to use a derogatory...

The Washington Redskins lost cornerback Richard Crawford for the season after he suffered a knee injury during Saturday’s preseason game against the Bills.
Crawford tore his LCL and possibly his ACL.
Mike Shanahan made the announcement that team trainers determined that Crawford had torn his LCL and a possible his ACL while returning a punt late in the first quarter.
The Washington Redskins have announced that punt returner
Richard Crawford is done for the season after suffering a significant left knee
injury, according to NFL.com.
Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan told reporters that

When I saw this I knew I needed to use it in a post, but than I couldn't really come up with anything of substance to post it with (that would make sense at least). So rather than not share it with the world (which would be a travesty) I decided to come up with a couple doofy sentences and just do it.

Game 3 has come and gone. There were some players who gained ground and those that lost it due to performance and/or injuries. With some key starters not playing due to minor injuries, the back ups got their best chances to shine in the so called dress rehearsal for the regular season. Here is my updated 53 man roster.
QB: Robert Griffin...
Robert Griffin III dressed to impress the NFL, with no sign of the T-shirt that got him fined earlier in the week.
The Washington Redskins' quarterback came out in full uniform for warm-ups some 2 1/2 hours before Saturday's preseason game against the Buffalo Bills.
Griffin wore a T-shirt with the words ''Operation Patience'' before the Redskins' game...
All the Washington Redskins' angst over Robert Griffin III's knee suddenly seems like a mere trifle, at least when compared the quarterback problems faced by rookie head coach Doug Marrone and his Buffalo Bills.
Griffin again moved well on his surgically repaired right knee in the warmups before Saturday's 30-7 win over the Buffalo Bills. And in case Griffin doesn'...

Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan addressed the media following Monday afternoon’s practice.
Washington backup QB Kirk Cousins (sprained foot) said he would be ready for Week 1.Fantasy Spin:Cousins only has fantasy value as the handcuff to Robert Griffin III, but given the seriousness of RGIII's injury and the fact he won't play in the preseason, owners must roster Cousins.
Handing out labels after Skins games. This time a 30-7 win over Buffalo.
Rex Grossman — Pretty average game. Lucked out when a DB dropped an easy pick. Didn’t get hurt. Is more established than ever as the backup to the backup QB.
Roy Helu Jr. – Totaled 91 yards and is similarly established as the RB2. That downfield fumble was bad, though.
Keiland Williams – Of...
