Matthew Kanter takes a look at the Jets win over the Buffalo Bills and makes six observations from the game.
1) Deeeeeeeeefense – Now that was fun to watch. I assumed the Jets would be able to handle the Bills aerial attack due to Fitz’s inability to truly stretch the field, but the clamps were locked from the get go. On the first drive, Kyle Wilson and Eric Smith both put big hits directly after the catch to prevent any extra yardage (and a first down), and it was much of the same as the game went on. The defense looked the best it has all year, and it wasn’t very close. Hell, you could even say Revis was the weak point of our defense, but of course it wasn’t really an issue, it’s more about pride.
After the Sanchez interception in the first quarter, the Jets defense needed a stand to prevent a slide in momentum. They did not fail, though Buffalo threatened after Fitz make a great throw to Jones on 3rd down, extending the drive. The Bills went on to punt. The run defense pe...

Scott Chandler has been making TD catches his trademark in Buffalo this season. After being waived Dec. 1, 2010 he was quickly signed by the Bills on Dec. 2, 2010. Scott has not a problem getting chances in the NFL sense being drafted in the 4th round out of Iowa by the Chargers in 2007. Bills head coach Chan Gailey labeled Rian Lindell as week to week after breaking a bone in his shoulder last Sunday.
Gailey said they’re fine carrying a couple of kickers on the roster for a while. He also said that Lindell has a chance to be back before the season is over.
Dave Rayner will be ready to go on Sunday in Dallas, but he has no idea how long he’ll be here kicking for Buffalo.
“I haven’t heard anything,” Rayner said. ”Obviously it’s a broken bone in (Rian’s) shoulder so who knows how long that’s going to take to heal. I’ll be here until I’m not.”
Head coach Chan Gailey called Lindell week to week, but said that...
The Buffalo Bills are offering a package of discounted tickets in a bid to fill a combined 57,000 unsold seats available for their final three home games.
CEO Russ Brandon announced the offer Tuesday, saying the team is offering a 12.5 percent discount when fans buy tickets for all three games.
It's a move to spur sales, because the Bills traditionally find it most difficult...

The Jets are in a three-way tie with the Patriots and Bills atop the AFC East at 5-3.
After a great game in Sunday’s big win over the Bills, Jets linebacker David Harris is the AFC’s defensive player of the week. Harris intercepted a pass, knocked down another and had five tackles in the Jets’ 27-11 victory, helping to largely shut down a Buffalo offense that had entered Week 9 averaging more than…
Bills head coach Chan Gailey admitted earlier in the year that beating the Chiefs in the opener would carry a little extra having been fired by that organization in 2009. He was asked if he’d carry a little extra with him this week heading into the Week 10 matchup with Dallas, knowing he was fired by Jerry Jones after just two years as head coach.
“Obviously, I’ve worked a...
