Pierre Garcon has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins and will be heading to the nations capital to play with soon to be franchise QB Robert Griffin III. Garcon will be lining up as the teams number one receiver and after his solid production last year with the garbage the Colts were trotting out at quarterback in an attempt to land Andrew Luck, he should have a career season with Robert Griffin III at the helm. Fantasy Impact: Pierre Garcon – Garcon will get a solid boost with his move to Washington and could form quite the duo with RGIII. Garcon will be deployed as the number one receiver and should top 70 receptions and 1,000 yards this season. RGIII is an extremely accurate quarterback and with Garcon acting as the top receiving option, should send plenty of targets his way. Garcon projects as an WR3 with clear-cut WR2 upside for the 2012 season. Josh Morgan – Morgan will benefit greatly from playing across from Garcon and will almost assuredly put up career numbers...

Garçon to sign with Redskins

Add Pierre Garçon to the growing list of former Colts, as the speedy wideout announced on Facebook and Twitter that he's headed to Washington.

Tired of hearing the Redskins overpaid for RG3 and Pierre Garcon? Read this.

Mike Holmgren told me everything I need to know about the Washington Redskins trade-up for the Rams' slot in the 2012 NFL Draft. Why else would the president of the Cleveland Browns have to explain to season ticket holders that he lost the bid to trade up for the rights to Robert Griffin III? "I'm not going to tell you exactly what we offered, but I will say what we...

Garcon announced on his Facebook page on Tuesday that he agreed to join the Washington Redskins. "I wanted you all to hear it from me 1st before u saw it on the news... I will be signing with the Washington Redskins and I'm very excited about the opportunity...

Redskins Bolster WR Corps, Signing Pierre Garcon, Josh Morgan

Photo Via FFSpin.com Former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Pierre Garcon isn’t waiting any longer for his ex-teammates, most notably Peyton Manning, to make their key decisions on their next destination in hopes of reuniting with them in 2012. And he sure as heck wasn’t going to stay on the sinking ship in Indy. Garcon announced on Facebook less than an hour after the 2012...

One Potential Colt Gone, Shanahan gets Garçon in Free Agency

Pierre Garcon - Indianapolis, October 2008 With all the speculation of the Broncos signing a tri-fecta of former Colts to team up with the big big fish Peyton Manning, Pierre Garcon’s name was mentioned among them. That clearly won’t be happening. Desperate for wide receiver help, the Redskin’s front office quickly signed the upstart wideout. Garcon posted the following to...

Washington Redskins: Josh Morgan Returns Home, Joins Pierre Garcon in D.C.

The San Francisco 49ers have stockpiled their defense, but lost out on one of their solid offensive players in wide receiver Josh Morgan as he returns home to D.C. to join wide receiver Pierre Garcon with the Washington Redskins on Tuesday. The Redskins reportedly signed Morgan to a two-year, $12 million deal with $7.5 million guaranteed. Shortly before Morgan’s signing, the...

Free Agency: Day One Recap, Rams Sign CB Cortland Finnegan

The St. Louis Rams began free agency by instantly casting out multiple lines, but they failed to hook anything in the early hours. The initial rumors focused on wide receiver options, such as Pierre Garcon (Indianapolis Colts) and Robert Meachem (New Orleans Saints), as well as Atlanta's Harry Douglas. While most of the rumors involved receivers, there was also talk...

Garcon, Morgan are modest upgrades to Redskins receiving corps

Mike Shanahan stayed true to form early in the 2012 offseason. Last season, he signed mid-twenty players who fit his system; think Barry Cofield and Stephen Bowen. If anything, Washington surprised by not signing the biggest free agent names available, starting with... WR Vincent Jackson (29) - Jackson has been the receiver of the Redskins dreams for at least three seasons. It&...

Redskins of 2012 Are the New Eagles of 2011 in Early Approach to Free Agency

Pierre Garcon, Tuesday's winner in free agency. Photo via ESPN.com Monday, our rivals in the NFC East gave a gift to the Eagles and 27 other teams in the NFL. The gift of money. Why? Because of punishment handed down the league. Washington was docked a whopping $36 million in cap room. The Cowboys lost $10 million from their cap. For the troubles of their rivals, the Eagles received...

Redskins snag trio of receivers in Garcon, Morgan, and Royal

After sending a multitude of draft picks west to St. Louis last week for the rights to select either Andrew Luck (Stanford) or Robert Griffin III (Baylor) in next month’s draft, Washington had to prioritize upgrading a thin receiving corps in free agency if they wanted their new franchise signal caller to have any chance of success next fall. The first step towards that goal was...

Browns' fans feel a draft, and shiver

If there's one thing Browns' fans have learned during this free agency period, it's that you can't call GM Tom Heckert a liar. Heckert said last week that the franchise would not make a big splash in the market. The NFL's high-priced free agent bazaar opened on Tuesday at 4 p.m., and true to their word, the Browns weren't waiting to rush inside with checkbook...

The NFL Network labels this time period in the National Football League, the free agent frenzy, well yesterday, it earned that title, as there truly was a frenzy, as big contracts and big moves were the definite trend of the day. One of the early themes in free agency is the amount of money being paid to wide receivers. Pierre Garcon was the first domino to fall yesterday, as...
