Sporting News reports that it looks like Sabby Piscitelli can still be a starter for the Bucs entering the 2010 season:
Don’t scratch Buccaneers SS Sabby Piscitelli from the starting lineup just yet. Though the team signed veteran SS Sean Jones, Piscitelli has responded to the challenge and is giving Jones a good battle for the job. Piscitelli fell out of favor a year ago when he struggled to make plays in the box. Piscitelli had been a sound tackler, but he too often tried to deliver highlight-reel plays and took bad angles to the ballcarrier. Piscitelli has been playing more soundly in camp, but the coaches will use the exhibition games to determine if he’s made the proper adjustments.
