The Pittsburgh Panthers have announced plans to retire Larry Fitzgerald’s jersey during their ACC home opener against Florida State this season.
Fitzgerald only played two seasons at Pitt but is easily the school’s most notable alum, finishing as a very close runner-up in the 2003 Heisman Trophy race (which was eventually won by Oklahoma QB Jason White) and going on to become one of the most feared wide receivers in the NFL. He has been elected to seven Pro Bowls since being drafted third overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2004.

It has been a while since we have had a legit two-way player in the NFL, but the Arizona Cardinals think Patrick Peterson might have a little Primetime in him:
Peterson was also pressed today if his endurance would be able to hold up and he said that he isn’t worried about it. He is an exciting talent though and it will be interesting to see if he can pull this off.
