The Pittsburgh Panthers have announced plans to retire Larry Fitzgerald’s jersey during their ACC home opener against Florida State this season.
Fitzgerald only played two seasons at Pitt but is easily the school’s most notable alum, finishing as a very close runner-up in the 2003 Heisman Trophy race (which was eventually won by Oklahoma QB Jason White) and going on to become one of the most feared wide receivers in the NFL. He has been elected to seven Pro Bowls since being drafted third overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2004.

It has been a while since we have had a legit two-way player in the NFL, but the Arizona Cardinals think Patrick Peterson might have a little Primetime in him:
Peterson was also pressed today if his endurance would be able to hold up and he said that he isn’t worried about it. He is an exciting talent though and it will be interesting to see if he can pull this off.
Arizona Cardinals games sound like a good time. You know, the kind of place where you can’t have your son hold your beer…
One thing is crystal clear, Steve Keim and Bruce Arians will try to improve the Cardinals roster no matter what time of the season it may be. The Cardinals signed kicker Dan Carpenter early Wednesday, according to a number of media sources.
Former head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, Ken Whisenhunt, returns to the University of Phoenix Stadium as the offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers tomorrow.
At this point it's actually quite simple for Arizona Cardinals running back Ryan Williams.
He needs to get on the field and the sooner the better.

If you Google search Fozzy Whittaker, you'll see he's a former UT halfback who went undrafted in 2012 and spent his rookie year on the Cardinals' practice squad before following Ken Whisenhunt to San Diego. But ask the man and you will find there is much more to his story -- he's Captain America.
