Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl linebacker James Harrison did not practice for a second consecutive day Friday. Players who do not practice Friday do not play on Sunday traditionally under coach Mike Tomlin.
Harrison underwent minor surgery last month on his knee, and says he is still experiencing pain and discomfort. He was not removed from the unable to preform list until last week.
The Steelers list him as questionable while Harrison says its a "game-time decision."
Running back Rashard Mendenhall is listed as doubtful to play against the Broncos on Sunday as he continues to recover from a torn ACL. Backups Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer will split the carries Sunday night.
Rookie guard David DeCastro was placed on injured reserve Friday. He sustained a left knee injury during the Steelers third preseason game.

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator Dick Lebeau must have run the heart-breaking Tebow to Demaryius Thomas play over and over in his head during the long off-season, but he's man enough to know when to take the blame.
When discussing the "cover 9," (which some call an "inverted cover 2") on that particular play, LeBeau told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette...

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has made it clear that he’s willing to miss a game this season if it conflicts with the birth of his baby.
“I’m not missing the birth of my child,” Roethlisberger said emphatically, per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “There’s no chance. I know some fans probably don’t want to hear that, but there’s no chance.”
I’ll be the first to tell you that the Steelers’ window is closing. 11 of the 13 players with 9 years’ experience or more are starters, including their star QB and 2-time Super Bowl winner “Big” Ben Roethlisberger. The remaining 2 on that list are both of his backup signal callers. All the starters in that elite secondary have 10 years or more in the league except...

This game might just be the most watched nationally televised game in the history of the NFL.
Certainly games will only get larger audiences down the road, but the return of arguably the most accomplished quarterback in NFL history is not a bad start to begin with.
Brett Favre, Dan Marino and Joe Montana are perceived as just a few of the greatest ever, and yet Manning has more All...
