The Pittsburgh Steelers are legendary for building their team through the NFL Draft. Year after year, after year, after year the Steelers let what seems to be a key contributor, a star player leave the Steelers Organization. Whether it be through Free Agency or Waivers, the Steelers always have a guy to step into the role and succeed for a player who has left the organization. In 2006 and most recently, Joey Porter was waived. A cap casualty. A very controversial release with the some of the coaches, the players and the fans. The heart and soul of the defense...gone!
