Not long ago he was the Super Bowl hero, anointed for his famous game-winning catch which classified 40 as one of the greatest Super Bowls ever. But drastically, Plaxico Burress saw a promising career presumably explode before he can even utter a very useful word, foolish. Common sense tells you this was a crime committed out of stupidity, and failing to think over actions before committing them. Some will prefer to call his idiotic judgment a serious crime, as others will quickly admit it was horrific and perilous, but a mistaken infraction. And some aren’t sympathetic at all, convinced that he deserves a harsher sentence. Was Burress’ sentence harsh enough or too harsh? Either way, that is, Burress must serve time in prison for making poor choices that have ruined a trusted reputation, and expunged the way the masses perceive the naturally gifted wideout.
