NFL Breast Cancer Balls 'A Disaster'

According to former NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, the new footballs that feature a breast cancer ribbon have been disastrous for the NFL. “They’re playing with these breast cancer awareness balls. These balls are brand new, right out of the bag,” Hasselbeck explained on a radio show. “Now they get slick — I texted a couple quarterbacks during the game. They all said, ‘These balls have been a disaster.’ So I think that’s something to note.” Hasselbeck particularly noted Monday night’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets where the slick new balls the and the torrential downpour proved to have a nasty effect on the game.
