Yesterday, we looked at the wide receivers and tight ends throughout the division, and corrected a couple errors that I made in misclassifying a receiver or two for Green Bay. Tonight, we'll turn our attention to the running backs and fullbacks. Bears 2011: Matt Forte, Marion Barber, Kahlil Bell, Armando Allen / Tyler Clutts, Kyle Adams2012: Matt Forte, Michael Bush, Kahlil Bell, Armando Allen / Tyler Clutts, Kyle Adams Obviously this is presuming the signing of Matt Forte to either his franchise tender or some other deal, but even without that, Michael Bush is still a solid back, at this point a better version of Marion Barber with much less mileage. Bell performed pretty well when called upon, and Armando Allen also played well for a fourth running back. And, well, we know what Matt Forte is. Clutts displayed some decent blocking ability and the occasional soft hands, especially for an undrafted player in 2008. Lions 2011: Mikel Leshoure (injured), Jahvid Best (injured), ...

Vikings rookie says following Longwell an 'honor'

Blair Walsh says he would've enjoyed meeting Ryan Longwell. He surely would've benefited from learning from the 16-year veteran, too. But the Minnesota Vikings rookie is on his own now. And that, he says, is a humbling honor. The Vikings began spring practice Tuesday - known around the league as organized team activities - but Walsh said being on top of the depth chart...

Minnesota Vikings Fantasy Football Projections

QB Christian Ponder (Minnesota) Christian Ponder should start 16 games this year. Unlike last year, he’s the week 1 starter and unlike last year, he has a capable blindside protector so he’s less likely to miss time with injury. As a team, the Vikings passed 510 times last year. That seems about right for Ponder, who should improve upon his 6.4 YPA from last year as he goes into...

Bears worried about Matt Forte’s knees

Matt Forte was franchised by the Chicago Bears earlier this offseason and he has not been happy about it. Forte is refusing to sign the 7.7 million dollar tender as he’s looking for a deal worth 8.5 million or so per year over 4-5 years with about half guaranteed: a deal essentially on par with what LeSean McCoy, Chris Johnson, and Arian Foster have gotten in the last 2 seasons...

The Chicago Tribune reported that the Bears are reluctant to give Forte an extension because there are concerns about the durability of his knees. Progress will take time in loaded NFC North

As the Minnesota Vikings convene at Winter Park today for the start of organized team activities, they are trying to erase the stigma of a 3-13 record that tied the franchise mark for futility in a 16-game season. Matt Forte addresses the concerns over his knees

Bears GM Phil Emery Believes Brandon Marshall Can 'Change' In Chicago

There are just three wide receivers -- Larry Fitzgerald, Roddy White and Brandon Marshall -- with 80-plus catches and 1,000-plus yards in each of the last four seasons. That Marshall was traded for just two third-round picks this offseason is highly indicative of his off-field problems. And if you're not buying that, how about Marshall's name being involved in an issue at...

Agent Says Its "Absurd" To Question Bears RB Matt Forte's Durability

Agent Adisa Bakari took an exception to a report that the Bears are concerned about how Matt Forte's knees will hold up, as they try to sign the Pro Bowl running back to a long-term deal. "Matt Forte is among the most, if not the most, durable, all-purpose running back in the NFL,"Bakari said. "The 2011 season was the first season of his career that he missed any...
