After the Patriots subpar start to the season, some fans are ready to throw themselves off a cliff.Everyone has gotten play in the blame game - from Bill Belichick to the secondary to the pass rush to Brandon Lloyd to even Tom Brady. With a 4-3 record and some devastating losses, I think this team deserves criticism. Some people disagree. What say you, Patriot fan?Are fans getting too negative about the Patriots?

Bill Belichick changes hoodies

Belichick switched up hoodies at half time. Not according to NESN, who points out that Belichick was actually breaking league rules by not sporting NFL licensed apparel. My theory is he saw that the Patriots were sucking and wanted to bust out the grey good luck charm. It worked! They won!

Advanced Stats: Brandon Lloyd is Killing the Patriots

So, I, along with many others, have been KILLING Brandon Lloyd this year. Some people are higher than others when it comes to his play. And don't get me wrong, Ian (iedlund) is not the only one. Lloyd has made a few spectacular plays (including his one TD pass in a game that was already over) and it somehow makes people ignore how bad he has been. It's like as long as they...

Patriots' Five Dropped Passes Sunday Against Jets Affected Tom Brady's Ability to Move Offense

If you check Tom Brady's stat line from Sunday, you may be wondering what was wrong with the Patriots' future Hall of Fame quarterback, but to quote Bill Belichick, "stats are for losers." Well, some stats. The Patriots' receivers dropped a season-high five passes against New York, which didn't do Brady's numbers any favors, nor did...

Patriots Fantasy Football: It's time for Brandon Lloyd to hit the bench

Brandon Lloyd has been a disappointment thus far in the season in more ways than one for Patriot fans. And although Lloyd's spectacular sideline grabs may temporarily blind Pats fans from his other weaknesses, his inability to catch easy passes almost cost New England the game against the Jets last week. Lloyd dropped two passes over the middle that would've gone for big...

Tom Brady and the Patriots Win the Mediocre Bowl In OT Over The Jets

The Jets and Patriots duke it out like a couple of past-their-prime, journeyman boxers. The Bills avoid OT by giving up a game winning TD in the 4th.

Rob Ninkovich dubbed the Jet Killer by Belichick

ESPNBoston, Mike ReissIn a celebratory postgame locker room, Bill Belichick referred to defensive end/linebacker Rob Ninkovich as the "Jet Killer" because he once again came up big against the Jets. Ninkovich had two interceptions in a game against the Jets last season, and one thing that stood out from watching him Sunday -- when he came up big on the final play of overtime...

Patriots and Jets prove Anything is Possible in Week 7

Tom Brady and his New England teammates escaped Week 7 with an overtime victory over the Jets .. but that doesn't tell the whole story. Plus, Cam Newton is lame.

Eli Manning Deserves Top Clutch Quarterback Recognition, Possibly Surpassing Tom Brady Atop Totem Pole

While it hurts to fathom, especially from the eyes of a New England native, Eli Manning is undoubtedly the best clutch quarterback going right now in the NFL. Yes, Tom Brady led the Patriots to a comeback victory on Sunday over the hated Jets, but it marked the first time he had done so since the AFC title game last year against Baltimore. Most importantly, in...

Belichick breaks down Rob Ninkovich's game clinching sack and fumble recovery

Rob Ninkovich made arguably the defensive play of the season, when he and fellow New England Patriot defender Jemaine Cunningham combined to bring down NY Jets QB Mark Sanchez, forcing a game ending overtime fumble in the process. Today, head coach Bill Belichick spoke about the game clinching play.Belichick and Ninkovich celebrate"It’s something that we talk about and work...

Patriots’ 16th Straight Game With 350 Yards Ties Rams’ Record

FOX: The Patriots gained at least 350 yards for the 16th straight regular-season game, tying the St. Louis Rams of 1999-2000 for the most in NFL history. (Bottom of article) A.B. Everyone in New England seems to be down on the Patriots right now. The local radio stations are filled with calls about Tom Brady being too old, Belichick losing touch, the horrible secondary and even...

Devin McCourty's Fumble Stands Out, But His Leadership Was Far More Important in Patriots Win

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Devin McCourty nearly fumbled away a win on Sunday night, literally. But without McCourty in the lineup, the Patriots would have never been in a position to win anyway. McCourty had as eventful a day as you could expect from nearly any player in the NFL on Sunday, both good and bad. But in the end, it was the good that outweighed all else...

Patriots Win, But Is It Time To Hit The Panic Button?

In most professional sports leagues, and specifically the NFL, a term is often thrown around as follows: “A win is a win.” However, contrary to popular belief, that’s not all a win can be. Today’s 29-26 over time victory over the New York Jets can be filed under any or all of these categories: Scary. Alarming. Sobering. While any kind of win is better than a loss, this marks...
