Found January 16, 2013 on The Penalty Flag:
Franchise quarterbacks are a rare commodity in today’s NFL. Many teams go years or even decades (see Chicago Bears) without finding a consistent and talented leader at the position. The Minnesota Vikings have had as much trouble as any team finding a keeper at QB. Since the team began in 1961 only three quarterbacks, Fran Tarkenton, Tommy Kramer, and Daunte Culpepper, have started at QB for more than three years in a row. Whether or not Christian Ponder will be added to this short list depends largely on two things. First, Ponder must stay healthy. Injuries are already a concern for the young QB who missed a playoff game against the Green Bay Packers due to deep bruising in his right triceps.… Read more

Did Christian Ponder cost the Vikings a Playoff win?

After an embarrassing 10-24 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Lambeau Field and a questionable injury to Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder. One has to wonder whether Ponder has the mental and physical toughness for the NFL. The one fact from the loss is that Joe Webb only completed 11 of 30 for 180 yards, one touchdown and one interception. To put it bluntly, Joe Webb...

Cancer-stricken teen Peterson called has died

Blake Cognata, the Fairport, N.Y., high school senior whom Vikings running back Adrian Peterson surprised with a phone call while in the hospital earlier this month, passed away over the weekend. ‘The NFL: A Bad Lip-Reading’ is about as good as it gets (video)

Since this requires virtually no setup, I am, uh, not going to set it up. Just this: Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson supposedly saying, “Egg roll, I wish I had a breeze running down my leg. I’d kill for a cookie. Sting-ray a double-sided Scooby Snack” to Pam Oliver is well worth the price of admission, and that’s only the first one in nearly three minutes of...

The Vikings season is over, and despite our team not ending up winning the Super Bowl AGAIN, that doesn't mean that our season was a total loss. Your 2012 Minnesota Vikings Mushroom Stampies - An Awards Thingy

I was sitting around last night fluffing myself, trying not to think about the Vikings before I lose my arousal, but then it was too late. I reflected on the 2012 season and found myself flaccid immediately, but I had also just flicked through the Golden Globes and saw Adele's face. Boom, tying the sweats back up tight, game over. I also then remembered that it was award...

Sooners in the Pro Bowl

Adrian Peterson is going to the Pro Bowl for the fifth time, and he’s bringing a couple of Sooners with him to Honolulu on January 27. Peterson had a remarkable year for the Minnesota Vikings by rushing for 2,096 yards after overcoming a knee injury late in 2011. Since turning pro in 2007, he has been voted to the all-star game every year except 2011. As a rookie, Peterson...

2012 Minnesota Vikings in Review: Shirtless Minnesota Viking Player of the Year

2012 was certainly a banner year for the Minnesota Vikings. A team projected to finish with roughly three wins blew their expected win total out of the water as they notched double digit 10 victories on the year, beat high profile playoff teams throughout the season, and snuck into the playoffs. But hardly any of that matters when you consider how great of a year it was for Shirtless...
