Running back Clinton Portis (various right leg injuries) and defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (sprained ankle) both sat out practice Thursday, but Coach Jim Zorn described them as "getting better," and expects both to play Monday night. Defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin (elbow) also skipped the workout, but Zorn said Griffin would likely participate in practice Friday. Safeties Kareem Moore and Chris Horton, who were both ill Wednesday, again sat out on Thursday, but Zorn said both will likely practice Friday. Tight end Chris Cooley, who missed practice Wednesday to attend a family funeral in Wyoming, returned to workouts Thursday. Zorn also said he had no further word on offensive tackle Chris Samuels, who is undergoing tests in California on his injured neck.
