Practice report: Defense resting again

A plethora of defensive players either missed practice today or were extremely limited. Perhaps that's an indication that coach Mike McCarthy will play it conservative in Sunday's relatively meaningless regular-season finale at Arizona.Missing from practice were linebacker Nick Barnett and safety Derrick Martin. Martin had an ankle injury in Sunday's win over Seattle. It's not known exactly why Barnett was missing but he has been nursing a sore knee.Defensive linemen Ryan Pickett (hamstring), Johnny Jolly (knee) and Michael Montgomery (ankle) all appeared to be extremely limited. After the jog-through period, they worked with the rehab group.Linebacker Brandon Chillar also didn't appear to be doing anything in practice, but the reason wasn't immediately known.Left tackle Chad Clifton also appeared to be limited.We'll have the full injury report and an update from coach Mike McCarthy in about an hour.-- Rob Demovsky, rdemovsk@greenbaypressgazette.comhttp:/...
