Pre-Game Notes: Dannell Ellerbe Time
Everyone is fired up about the Ravens defense and they should be, defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano is aggressive and has the players in attack mode.
Things are coming together with the cornerbacks, the defensive line and there much promise from the skilled position players. One area the team needs to solidify is the linebacker who plays next to Ray Lewis. One of those linebackers in the running is Dannell Ellerbe.
Ellerbe is saying and doing the right things. By all accounts he has matured and improved his game preparation. Ellerbe has great instincts (has a nose for the football) and has good speed. He has been called a ‘thumper’ because he knows how to deliver a solid hit. He’s proven he can start, now he has to show consistency.
Now Ellerbe must take advantage of his playing time versus Washington tonight.
