Monday night was a disaster and it will be nice to move on for the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore is 3-0 and blowing teams away at M&T Bank Stadium. So far, in Baltimore, the Ravens have beaten opponents by 28, 17 and 15. Don't expect any of that to change Sunday afternoon. Joe Flacco and the offense is coming off one of the worst performances in franchise history. I would think that this won't happen again, particularly against the 1-5 Arizona Cardinals who have lost five in a row. To help the offense, I would expect running back Ray Rice to carry the ball more than eight times this week while Flacco can be complementary of the running game. Rice could easily have a big game against Arizona. Also, Flacco again will be without receiver Lee Evans catching balls and left guard Ben Grubbs blocking in front of him, but that shouldn't play a terribly large role in this game. On the defensive side of the ball nothing really has to change. The Ravens are the top-ranked...

ONLINE ONLY Which comic book superhero would Joe Flacco be?

Joe Flacco didn't come to the Ravens' rescue Monday night. As poorly as the Ravens' offense played in the 12-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Flacco still got his opportunity to step into a phone booth, wiggle into his superhero tights and carry the team on a last-minute, game-winning, mistake-cover-upping touchdown drive.

Could Ravens Turn to Familiar Face to Fix Offensive Woes?

In case you haven’t heard, the Baltimore Ravens had absolutely no offense and are now taking a ton of criticism. Fans on the Ravens Official Message Board are calling for Cam Cameron’s firing, some are questioning Joe Flacco‘s ability to become an elite quarterback. Some fans are even beginning to question John Harbaugh and wonder if he can be the guy and can get the job...

Ravens get back in it in the third quarter (updated)

It's almost as if the Ravens stopped toying with the Cardinals in the third quarter. At the half, it was 24-6 Arizona. At the end of the third quarter, the Ravens trail 24-20.  Joe Flacco began connecting with Anquan Boldin and the Ravens offense got hot. They used shotgun and no huddle leaving the Cardinals with no answer. Boldin is having a huge game with seven catches for...

These rival running backs seemed to be getting along...

NFL Week 8 Cheat Sheet

I need to chat with Joe Flacco. Only Joe, a fellow Jersey guy, could know how I'm feeling this week. Here I was, coasting along nicely, looking ahead, and enjoying the many fruits (media accolades, handshakes from strangers on the street, the adoration of men and women alike) that went along with an impressive 65-25 record with my Cheat Sheet picks through seven weeks. Then...

Suggs’ Wish Granted: Rice Scores 3 Touchdowns

Last week defensive player Terrell Suggs called out the Baltimore Ravens coaching staff for not getting the ball to runningback Ray Rice in Monday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Rice had just eight carries sparking Suggs to say “This (Rice) is a Pro Bowl running back we’re talking about. You’ve got to feed the horse. They fed their horse. We got to feed our horse....

The heat is on Cam Cameron as Ravens offense tries to bounce back

Coordinator's relationship with Joe Flacco will continue to be questioned if struggles continueTwo days after the Ravens posted their worst offensive showing in years, Cam Cameron and Joe Flacco wrapped up practice by having a quiet conversation as they left the field. Calling it a conversation, however, might be a bit of a stretch.

Idle Chatter: AFC North all over .500?

First of all, what the heck was up with the Ravens on Monday night?Pat McManamon: They were doing their best to make the Browns feel better about their performance. Pure sympathy move by the team that used to be in Cleveland. Rather thoughtful of them, too. OK, all joking (sort of ) aside it was simply one of those nights. Combine that with the fact that no team ever wants to be...
