The Ravens will meet the Steelers for the second time in three weeks. The Steelers will be without high profile players Ben Roethlisberger and LaMarr Woodley, but get back safety Troy Polamalu. Two weeks ago, the Ravens defeated Pittsburgh 13-10 at Heinz Field. I expect the same result, but a different score this time. The Ravens haven’t lost a home game since Week 13 of the 2010 season – to Pittsburgh. It’s two years ago to the week when the Steelers beat the Ravens on a Sunday night. Baltimore’s offense will find their rhythm, as they usually do, and move up and down the field against the Steelers’ defense. For whatever reason, the Ravens’ offense has no trouble at home. Joe Flacco will find Torrey Smith this time. Smith had trouble getting open against Ike Taylor last time, but that was with Will Allen as safety. If Polamalu starts, which I expect him to, he’s more of a risk-taker than Allen and there will be chances to hit Smith over the top of the defense. As for the Ravens’ d...

Are The Pittsburgh Steelers In Control Of Their Own Destiny With 4 Games Left In The Regular Season?

It is coming down to the last 4 games of the season for the Pittsburgh Steelers who pulled off the improbable beating the Baltimore Ravens to get to 7-5 on the season and finding themselves in a tie with the Bengals in the AFC North. They got the win with a 37-year-old back up quarterback that goes by the name of Charlie Batch and some mighty fine defense that confused the heck out...

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ demise was greatly exaggerated

Sorry for doubting you, Charlie. What a difference a week makes.  Just this time last week, fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers were licking their wounds following an abysmal, eight-turnover performance in Cleveland that placed the Steelers’ postseason hopes in some degree of jeopardy.  The QB situation appeared hopeless until Ben Roethlisberger returns, the running game was in tatters...

Roethlisberger chose not to pratice, here we go with the drama again

Here we go again with the Ben Roethlisberger injury drama. Honestly, what more does the man have to do as the leader of the Pittsburgh Steelers offense and a leader on the Steelers team in general, for fans and media to stop hounding him every time he makes a controversial decision. It’s what Ben does, so what, can’t we get past this by now? Ok, what was I thinking, the media...

Roethlisberger returns to practice

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger returned to practice on Wednesday and appears on track to return this weekend against San Diego. LeBeau Says Polamalu Could Be Limited Snap Wise If He Plays Against The Ravens

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu has practiced fully the last two days and appears to remain on track to play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. Defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau did warn on Thursday, however, that just because the all-everything safety might be back, doesn't necessarily mean that he will be on the field every play after being out since Week 5 with...

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens: Week 13 NFL Pick

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5) at Baltimore Ravens (9-2) 2 weeks ago, the Steelers were riding high at 6-3, including a recent win over the Giants in New York and looked like they had a chance to take control of the division with a win at home against the then 7-2 Baltimore Ravens. However, Ben Roethlisberger got hurt late against Kansas City and has been unable to play in each of their...

Steelers rally to snap losing skid

Ben Roethlisberger couldn't have done it any better. Third-string quarterback Charlie Batch directed a 61-yard drive in the closing minutes, and Shaun Suisham kicked a 42-yard field goal as time expired to give the Pittsburgh Steelers a 23-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Playing without the injured Roethlisberger for a third straight week, the Steelers turned...

Would A Win Sunday Against The Ravens Be The Biggest Ever For Charlie Batch?

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was officially ruled out on the Friday injury report so that means that veteran Charlie Batch will be asked to do the unthinkable and beat the 9-2 Baltimore Ravens Sunday in their own backyard of M&T Stadium. How big of task is it? The Ravens have won their last 16 games at home for starters and Batch has not beaten the Ravens...

Deck stacked against Steelers, how will they respond?

Round 2 of the best rivalry in the entire NFL kicks off today at 4:25pm as our Steelers and the hated Baltimore Ravens take to the field of battle at M&T Bank Stadium. We’ve been saying since the Steelers were sitting at 2-3 that every game was a must win game. The margin for error was small then, it’s even smaller now but that window is still open even if our team should...

With Big Ben’s injury, the game on the road, and Baltimore performing well lately, there is not too much confidence in prediction markets that the Steelers can produce an upset.
